Shot counter padding Bucky's stats or something?

A wins a win.

Hate playing in a division with so many Tkachuks and no Jet that keeps them in check.

I'll take the win but that was a pretty poorly played game by the team. We were opportunistic and got great goaltending. We need to get back to playing much better hockey then what we have the last few games.

I hope that is the end of the 11 and 7 experiment it seemed like the whole team was disjointed with all of those moving parts. Time for Beau to come out.

Sounds like missing the first period was good scheduling on my part. All I saw was another great win by the Jets.

Now, what is our record against teams not called Ottawa? 4 wins, 5 losses I think.

But that's a convo for another thread.

Great win boys. Winning the games we need to. Takin' care of business.

GJG!

Hellebuyck was on. They managed to recover from a very poor start against the worst team.

Take it and on to the next, folks!

A goaltender IS a part of your team.

20 minutes IS part, but not WHOLE, of a hockey game.

NHL records show that the literal best in the league at home against the literal worst at home is, at best, a 3-1 favorite. But even at that, they don't do it by "not only winning the game, but winning every period". What more do you demand, that they win every shift too?

I have wired aces. you have wired deuces. All the money goes in. you spike a deuce on the flop. I make a wheel on the river. At the end of the day: best going in was bet coming out, so what's the yelling about?

also: anyone with any mental health training that wants to get on deck, cause 'in vino veritas' and all that :P

I was worried about this game.
First period garbage.
Two great periods, and 2 more points.
I do feel, so bad, for Sens fans.
I've said it before but Ottawa reminds me of the Hall era Oilers. Throw a bunch of kids out there and let them lose for half a decade then blow it up because they don't know how to win

PLD had some really great passes that just skipped over sticks in the slot.

He could have easily had a 3pt night. They’re gonna come.

PLD will score, no doubt about it, and he has plenty in the past. He has great hands in close, and we'll see some pretty goals from him in the near future. Great power forward too, which we need. Don't worry about him.

Not true at all.

Hellebuyck kept us in this one.

The Oilers dynasty of the 80s did it all with forwards and goaltending, and no doubt heat maps like this; we can too, right?

PS let me just thank you, once again, because while a lot of your posts are contentious, I can't think of a single contentious post of yours that didn't come with something resembling evidence; win or lose, agree or disagree, you should be applauded even if and when it turns out you are "wrong in the right way", because of course that just lends some moral imprimatur to when you are right in the right way :)
