He's still f***ing injury prone and hurt from a hit that can happen a million times a game. It wasnt like Stevens killed him, it was a f***ing little collision, like the ones alway happening in a hockey game.

If that's the case, and this is literally never going away, can we really give a 21 year old with a bad shoulder 10 mil plus a season?

We don't know what kind of shoulder injury he has had. It seems like maybe they are a little unstable and when they get jammed up they pop out? Maybe inflammation? I don't know, just know once they get wrecked they seem unstable. Maybe it's just a tweak though?

even if he does need a few weeks off, it really doesn't hurt anything besides my enjoyment of watching an elite superstar like him play. Leafs are a great team. We're not like the Edmonton McDavids

Listen. We all love our leafs, right?Future is bright, right? But the future is now. The regular season is all about getting to the playoffs and getting a chance to win the cup. That’s why they play. It’s why we watch.
But this soft play like waving your stick around 8 feet away from your check instead of , um, checking just means early exit.

I agree completely. I think people talking like we're being outplayed aren't watching the same game at all. We've taken hits. We've thrown several too. Winnipeg is gooning between whistles imo. The first goal was on a powerplay that honestly probably should be been evened up after Trouba blatantly crossed checked Kadri in retaliation for the boarding. Second goal was after we had sustained several shifts of pressure. We've had our chances. This game could easily be the other way around

Nylander should be getting traded. Get this team a good defensive player and get rid of a me first player.

It really pisses me off when people watch a game like tonight where we have 0 goals and talk about trading Nylander for defense...

I'm as big of a Matthews fan as any.

But if that routine body check that I see even in TIM BIT hockey really hurt his shoulder again (and this isn't some sick joke), then I really don't know where I stand at that point. It would be a legitimate problem that fans aren't overreacting about.

Let's hope he's back in the 3rd or next game, and we can all put this behind us.
