Babs is a dinosaur as well so not surprised
Fair enough, but I don't even think Marleau can take a wrist shot anymore.

True. Could be nothing.ok post i responded to asked whether he will ever play a full season, i responded that he has done it already.
Also he hasnt actually missed a game yet looked bad but sometimes its something that hurts the same night next day is fine, its a long shot but he may miss 0 games
Babcock's incessant line matching probably plays a part because I'm pretty sure our metrics were better on the road last year too, but sample size may play a part too.Is there anything to the awful home/road splits so far? Why are we so bad at home?
Yup. Had some nice goal totals, that were inflated by quite a bunch of empty net goals.Hot take but Marleau wasn't good last year as well. He just got carried and got points. However this year hes fallen off a cliff.
Interestingly enough, with Matthews being very injury prone and likely to end his career soon and Nylander thoroughly alienated... I think our Cup window has officially closed.
I bet he is out for while, his seemed pissed off because he knew he hurt somethingYeah. If it's really a serious injury.
Is Babs pushing defensive play? Where have all the goals gone (both for and against us)?
This team is built to win 6-5, not 1-0.
It was an awkward hit first of all and once you injure an area such as a knee or shoulder in football, hockey etc it's easier to re injure it. Let's not be so grim. He took a lot of big hits this yr before that..I feel like this one was just awkward angle
Why on earth would we do that? Was it ever discussed years ago, about having Gardiner play wing?
to be fair, empty net goals aren't bad. it's not like he doesn't have a shot that can beat a goalie anyway. The problem is his ability to handle a puck seemingly dropped off a cliff over the offseasonYup. Had some nice goal totals, that were inflated by quite a bunch of empty net goals.

I like your posts but holy f*** you seriously need to lay off it tonight.I think he should just get whatever surgery is needed and take a year to rehab it. Hopefully by the 2020 playoffs he'll be healthy but it's possible it'll never be 100% and might just be better off retiring or playing in a euro league.
guy is a 40 years old plug now earning 6.2 million. gonna be making the same money next year when he is 41. Lou is regarded as one of the best gm ever btw.Can we just agree that Marleau has lost it now. Much too slow and weak to do anything.
