I hope I'm not intruding. I came here looking for the same info on Scheifele and Morrissey

Robertson is taking line rushes today with the team and seems to be eyeing a game 1 return.

Heiskanen is still skating as an extra and may be a bit longer.

We have no real updates as to the nature of their recoveries or details on their timelines for returns. Miro has been day-to-day for the entirety of the playoffs, and he has had a couple practices in a normal lineup position. It could be any game, but we just don't know.

Hoping for everyone on both sides to be healthy as soon as possible. Makes the games more fun and exciting.

My guess Scheifele plays, Morrissey misses games 1 and 2.

I am uber curious what the injury was? If it was leg, shoulder or head we wouldn't be seeing this today.

He definitely tweaked something hitting Faksa, maybe just a shoulder strain?

He didn't have a lower body injury so his skating looks good but I did not see any shooting or hard passes today which points to probably a shoulder injury.

I'm not a doctor, but...

I'm wondering if it's bruised ribs. He took a beating after Scheif went down in Game 5 and took even more hits in Game 6. It could be one of those rib injuries where it hurts like hell when you turn the wrong way or take a super deep breath?

I have no strong suspicion as to why Morrissey left Game 7...and I usually have an opinion on these things, FWIW. He looks pretty good in practice, however.

What is interesting to me is that he has now twice pulled himself from huge, do-or-die games (this one and 4-nations) and his team has won both without him. In the first instance, he pulled himself before the game and in the game 7 he walked off on his own steam after just playing a few minutes.

To be clear, I say this with great respect. As I've noted previously, unlike M Tkachuk, he subordinated his personal aggrandizement to the best interests of the team in the 4-Nations.

Interesting to imagine how the Jets would have fared in Game 7 if he had tried to grind it out for the rest of the first period...down another goal, maybe?
