Injury Report: Jets health in the playoffs

If Olofsson is still playing anything like he did with Buffalo, I want no part of him.
Hard to read...

Before Connor skated out on the ice for the 1st star interview, I saw what looked like Ehlers limping around going over to congratulate him. Im gonna armchair MD it and say he will be out at least all games in round 1.
I have it from a very reliable source that he is indeed out for the first round and maybe a good chunk of the second. Believe me or not.

This was confirmed by a Sportsnet guy - you won’t see Nik in round 1 no matter what.

We may get thru Round 1 without Ehlers, ( maybe) but we absolutely need him for round 2, if we are going to get thru that round. That is if we are able to beat St. Louis, and that’s not a given.

We don’t have enough firepower without Nik in the lineup on that second line. We’ll need him badly.

He’s more important than Villardi, as we have good scoring power on that first line.

This is why we need to sign him.

Or use ehlers money to bring in scoring power for perfetti. A guy we can count on with good health.

Yeah, that’s another way of looking at it, but hard shoes to fill. Not many players have the burst speed of Ehlers, and ability to blow by defenseman. A great shot as well.

Tough situation to be in - with all that talent, he’s very fragile.

It’s 9 mil. U can use an opportunistic player to take advantage of fetti. Right now we could be down his replacement and him by signing a guy who can’t stay healthy.

Be interesting to see what they do, but I hope they sign him. I don’t know if I’d be so brave if I was the owner tho, and sign him, at that kind of price ?

We need both Vilardi and Fly if we are to make trouble for the Avs. They are key to beating MacKenzie Blackwood who is as hot as hell. Avs will be our nemesis this season, and we’ll need both fast neutral zone (Fly) and net-front (Villardi) to beat them. Better to be sure with injury recovery on Fly and Villardi
Great post, and we’ll definitely need both those guys to beat the Avs. You just can’t hope for Helle to pull out miracles- luck runs out.

Currently rewatching Avs vs Stars and yep they're scary.

We need them back, and I wouldn't mind seeing a miracle from Dallas despite their injuries.

If I had my wish, I’d wish for the Jets to win in 7 games, just to get some of our troops back.

With all due respect, that makes literally no sense. Going 7 games dramatically increases the chance of injuries to other players on the Jets. Not only that, but if the Jets sweep the Blues, they can rest and recuperate, considering the 2nd round usually lines up with the results of the other 7 first round match-ups.

It is clear to me we are going to have to get through all/most of Round 2 without Ehlers. If that is the case we are going to have to get more offensive production from our other lines. Here's hoping Vilardi can make a difference, as he appears more likely to be back in the next week or two.

If ehlers doesn’t make it back by end of 2nd rd he can go.

Yep we just need our opponents to go to 7.

We just need at least Vilardi back to push Iafallo back down and get some depth back. I think Ehlers will be out until middle of round 2. So we just have to get by the Blues and rest and then be ready for the Avs. I don't see the Stars being much of a threat in that series.
If Vilardi returned hypothetically for game 3 of this series I would try him on a second line with Fetts and Names. Keep Iafallo up with 55 and 81.
