Team speed is only an issue against guys like Myers who has no concept of how to play angles. He was clowned by Drouin on multiple occasions.

I waive the white flag. This team is not a contender, a 1st round exit most likely the way they are playing. Getting blown out in these next few games wouldn't be the worst thing in the world so that some desperately needed changes are made before it's too late to recover.

Connor is a higher scoring young Drew Stafford who is somehow worse defensively than Stafford was. Horrendous showing for Wheeler. Pukeworthy game by that line.

Trade Myers and Chiarot at the deadline for picks and prospects. We can get a 1st for Myers!

I don't ever want to see Morrow in a Jets jersey ever again.

Positives:

Laine played well. Good comeback effort by him.

Glad we didn't score on PPs. The sooner we turf his new PP decisions, the better it is long term of this club.

Helle did his best considering the circumstances.

I have zero faith going into the playoffs. The energy and drive just isn't there like it was in the past. Hopefully they can turn it on in the playoffs. Maybe when we were underdogs they played like they had something to prove, now they just coasting through the motions.

JMO, but the Jets are built to beat teams like Vegas and Nashville… not teams that are pure speed. But it would have been better with Ehlers, Morrissey, and Niku in the lineup. Needed more speed.

2nd line ( including Laine ) played fine
4th line was OK
1st line was a tire fire on D
3rd line... OK

Buff was definitely rusty

Got sucked into the “quick” game that Habs wanted this to be. Too much cute passing and not enough standing your ground and maintaining possession.

Hopefully this goes down as their worst game of the season.

One last thought- that one camera shot during the scrum involving Domi near game end sure showed the size difference between the players on the ice at the time. Jets looked comparatively huge vs the size of the Habs.

I also feel like I must apologize for being so negative in the GDT. Usually I don't post much in the GDT but I don't think I have ever been this pissed off by a game... even during the Noel era. This literally ruined my mood for the evening and likely for tomorrow as well

It seems we missed Morrissey even more than we missed Byfuglien. That's one takeaway. Morrissey is the heart and soul of the D-core, I was sure of it before tonight and am even more convinced tonight.
