Regular season is different from playoffs. I agree that Vegas got the bounces I never seen a team get so many but you have to try something different. I'm amazed the Jets stopped hitting.
Do you notice what Vegas did?
Once the Jet players passed the puck they tied up that player and took him out of the play. Sometimes they did not even have the puck and Vegas took the Jet player out of the play.
The great scoring chance Wheeler had and MAF kicked it out ... Perreault was laying on the ice instead of knocking in the rebound. Vegas player took out his man ... Vegas got away with a lot of interference but it did not matter because on the PP Jets refused to shoot.

Yeah what was up with not shooting on the PP? Myers and Ehlers just passing the puck to each other from great positions in the slot?

Man great season and I refuse to even read the rest of this thread cause I know most of the posts will make me vomit. Outstanding season and great strides by the team this year. Final 4 and got beat by a very good team that could win the cup the way they are playing and the goalie they have. Very proud.

You never know when/If the Jets may ever get back to the final four, stinky effort against the Knights left a sour taste in my mouth, too many passengers!

Way too many coaching mistakes by the Jets staff!

Check back in in 4-5 years as that would be his expected shelf life taking a team from 87 to 114 points and to its first 2 series wins on its way to a conference final appearance.

Also took a Jets playoff team to two years of no playoffs, better players meant more wins, same coach though!

Vegas wasnt just lucky. The style they played in front of the goalie helped him out too. And we we didn't do as much to help our goalie and he wasnt as good as Fleury.

Tip my cap to Vegas I dont know if either East team will beat them. They play as a team perfectly

Yeah, Jets gave up a pick to get Stats!

Which was an excellent thing to do. Almost all playoffs teams gave up a pick for FAR lesser players than Statsny, who we got really cheaply! Now is not the time to be a perennial rebuilder, we have stocked up on resources and must spend them to compete. The addition of Stastny gave us at least one extra series win in the playoffs which gave heaps of PO experience to the team. That could very well translate to a cup later on.

Roslo played well, come on man!

He did his past few games. That line was our best line the past few games. But they did not produce much, if they just chipped in a couple we would still be playing. But hoping he can take 2C. My guess is he gets the chance to start. Not sure if he is ready or not, we will find out most likely next year. Past few games are a good sign. But overall before that he did not look ready or physically ready for top 6 role

Geez Sip...now that’s a surprising comment coming from you? You’re usually so upbeat and positive about our team! :D

I'm still trying to figure out how the Jets lost 4 games in a row to Vegas. Today's game felt like a lost poor performance but the other 3 games sure did not feel like losses.
No more hockey for me the sunbelt people in America can enjoy it.

Those 4 losses could of easily gone the other way.....but Jets just found ways to lose them. Untimely goals, turnovers, always falling behind, and hard to believe - lack of scoring punch.

It's why Bettmans playoff setup sucks. Only positive is less travel for a team, but we just saw the negatives. Best teams should meet this round not beat snot outve each other round two. Vegas still deserves to move on but that could have been a factor.

Jets are a young team, I would have liked to have seen them win, but they're too inconsistent still with their overall effort. Actually, even in the Preds series we came out flat footed in many of those games first periods too. Chalk it up to a good learning experience and hope that next year the guys can put it all together. At their absolute best, the Jets are a scary team with few weaknesses. They just need to find that level of play more often.

I think this is more true than the Jets want to admit. History repeats as Jets bitten by a super strong division. Just like the 80s.

He seems the most shaken of them all. And frustrated. “Luck was definitely on their side. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Yeah, Hellebuyck sounds a little shaken there.

Stastny and Perreault have a bit of an air of lost opportunity, they both look and sound pretty upset. And not in an angry sort of way.

It sounds like the Jets aren't letting themselves make any excuses, regardless of how valid they might be.
