Post-Game Talk: Jets fall to the Knights 3 -1

Well I guess we are in a series now, Jets will have to play better defensively, need something more out of Perreault, Ehlers, Little and Laine

Perreault and Laine had very good nights, they’re surrounding casts did not and neither did the Scheifele line. In all honesty this was one of the better 5v5 games for Laine, he controlled the puck very well, he made nice accurate passes(that very well could have resulted in goals considering it lead to qaulity shot areas), entered through the neutral zone better than any Jet tonight and had the best qaulity shots of the night set up by himself. On Perreault not the best overall night but he was working hard to score and retain the puck in every zone. Either guys could have easily scored tonight if they had linemates working as hard as them).

Not the best games from Buff Wheeler Trouba Stastny..

Refs need to be a bit more consistent with calls as Vegas got away with a ton.

Overall tho i thought minus about 5 or 10 minutes.. The Jets were the better team.. Vegas seemingly got all the bounces tonight

I'd like to see Morrow or Kulikov in the lineup - Toby is not physical enough and get's knocked off the puck. We need someone with a little bit more physicality and sandpaper here.

We also get great=t scoring from Morrow on the back end, that we don't get with Toby. We should keep our eye on this defensive position --I'd like to see Morrow in.

Physicality was not the issue tonight, Vegas barely hit a thing after they went up. This whole Enstrom is too weak meme is really lame, it's no wonder you miss all the great things he does if that is all you focus on.

Jets looked tired mentally and physically. Just not sharp. I wonder if the Preds series is taking a toll. I hope they can recover.

They really need more from Ehlers and Laine. That was a really bad game from Ehlers, again.

I'd like to see Morrow or Kulikov in for Chiarot. Enstrom and Chiarot are no threat on LD in the offensive zone.

I'd consider Roslovic in for Tanev to generate more possession and offense.

I thought Tanev was better than Perrault.

At least the sweep em in 4 games talk will end.
It started off like a really enjoyable fast game and then it turned into missed passes and blocked passes and shots.
Give Vegas credit, they came in with a good game plan and it worked.
The following players need to step up, in no order...
Laine...you're a goal scorer, score.
Ehlers...has to get into the dirty areas more.
Copp...we could use another goal any time.
Trouba...after 3 or so very strong games, he had a weaker game. Step up and earn those big bucks you want.
To a lesser extent...
Buff, Wheeler and Scheif...This team will follow you. Go out next game and show Vegas what you are made of.

If Kuli is healthy enough to play, he should be playing.

I thought Preds 3rd goal in game 6 came from him chasing the guy behind the net instead of sticking with the guy in front. That has nothing to do with now. Just saying..

I'd take Perrault out and put in Roslo because he's faster but it's no mystery I didn't care for Perrsult not putting up points particularly goals at the end of the season so not unbiased.

I don’t know who you’re describing but it ain’t Morrow. Do you not know he is more like Enstrom then Chiarot?

Yes he is more like Enstrom than Chiarot-- but he's bigger, stronger, and has a way better shot from the backend--we may need that one extra goal. In these playoffs and in the last 10 games he's played--I don't think he's scored a goal-and one goal can make the difference of losing or winning. Nothing to lose here-- "he's a very solid smooth Dman,
and I'd love to see him in for Toby.

Tanev has more goals than Perrault or Little in the small sample which is the playoffs. I know you love your skill but Copp little roslo was the most points by a line with little. Perrault just isn't getting it done.

someone needs to sneak in the jets equipment room and take a couple of inches off of Ehlers' stick. its hard to handle the puck when your top elbow is always pointing at the rafters.

Perreault does need to get it going, but no way do I sit him over Tanev.......ever. Little has more to give as will.

Having said that, the Knights top line outscored the Jets top line and that was the story.

A really odd game. I expect better things in game 3, mainly because I won't be there to screw it up again
