What is this team's identity? It's really unclear when watching them. They just look lost

Prior to Christmas it was lockdown team D. They were making it tough for the opposition to get inside. Had struggles offensively at times but were lights out on the PP and getting just enough EV offence to win 3-1 type games. While they still defend well enough most nights it hasn’t been the same since Christmas.

If this team completely collapses, it’ll be frustrating when the 12 or 13OA is used by Calgary. I don’t think we can fall far enough to get in the top 10 and keep the pick. With our wonderful scouts though, I have zero confidence they’d nail the pick anyway.

Nico edging closer to UFA. 37 year old "Marky" with one year left. Absolutely no forward prospects worth a damn. Vets on this team even older. Two straight years of missing the playoffs (probably) with this "core".
