That was a nice run of games the last 3 weeks or so, but after tonight, they're officially done..They're not going to win the next game with whats left of the forward group.

Should be interesting to see what they do after the week off...?...Pull back Edlers minutes..get Juolevi in..Maybe Mikey D will get a game or two...Maybe Pod might be here..?

Yup.
It's time...

I see the same people who harped about how bad this team is now complaining about their record. I mean, I thought this was a shitty team when all healthy? I'm not surprised in the least with the injuries piling up the team is running out of gas.

I don't know, am I the only one who really doesn't care about this season? f*** covid.

Not only should we be playing Juolevi hardcore going forward, but we should also severely cut back on Demko's games played now and revert back to something closer to a 60/40 split because it's in their best interest for Holtby to play more.

Helps protect their starter of the future and allows Holtby to rebuild some value - it can't possibly get worse can it? Maybe Holtby starts eight of the remaining games and has a respectable save percentage that pushes him over .900 for the year and someone takes him.

Not sure how you count the 4th goal he was literally halfway to the bench. Demko gets the benefit of the doubt Holtby doesn't and their performances are the reason for that.

He was still on the ice. It counts.

I'm not taking umbrage with Demko. I love the kid, arrogant as he was down here. I am taking umbrage at the merciless attacks on Holtby who has been under siege every night as well. He has stopped 2 on 1 s and breakaways on a regular basis, but a tip in or a screen shot goes in and he sucks. I'm not and will not buy it. Has he been Vezina level? NO. How many keepers in any season are?

The only time Holtby deserved any sheltering from criticism was maybe the first month of the season when him and Demko were playing at an equally bad level behind the same defense. Then, we saw one goalie perform at a league best level while one played at a near league worst level and on the sum, has been below average.

He was also fine in MTL too.

It would also probably save them some money next year for Demko to not get a Vezina nomination.

The first thing I thought of when I heard about Horvat's injury was, "Well, Jimbo's got his year end excuses lined up"

It's pathetic that should even come up when you think about a GM...

I called the game (and team) uninspired tonight.
Yet I get the new guys coming in with all the injuries, the lack of game time and cohesion, and the coaches thrown for a bit of a loop. Which left me uninspired I guess..

But, I didn't feel an overwhelming feeling of desire (by our Nucks) to go out there tonight and win this game - compete, yes..
Maybe it's just me.

I know exactly where I was when Rick Monday homered off of Steve Rogers in that "playoff game" between the Dodgers & Expos. I have a habit of jinxing teams I follow as a fan.

Course I also remember *THE* Paul Henderson goal against Tretiak way back in 1972 even though I was still young enough to cry "that moment" in the movie Old Yeller.

I remember Bucky Dent's homer in the AL playoff game against Boston.

I cried when Old Yeller was shot.

I leaped up and down and danced around my living room for several minutes when Henderson scored.

My wife and I were had been married just over a month and I was 3 weeks into my new teaching/coaching career. I watched the game on her tiny 8-inch tv screen sitting about 1 foot away. My wife knew what hockey meant to me . She followed me for years, but she thought I was nuts at that moment. I couldn't have watched another NHL game without thinking NHL players were not the best in the world.
