We have three games left until Thanksgiving and if we win out we will still be out of the wildcard position. Thanksgiving is the typical barometer when talking about playoffs, if your team isn't in a playoff spot by then you're 98% likely to miss. I'm all aboard the tank train now.
I can't really root for us to lose, but if we ice a younger, more inexperienced, more error prone team, so be it. All the vets and "leaders" can go. Maybe keep a few guys that have actually shown "character" around to be real mentors.

Bruno has a genius mega mind “system” that apparently doesn’t require speed and offensive creativity. Parsinen and Tomasino need to sit and watch how to take low percentage shots from a mile away, or pass the puck to Josi and Stamkos so they can miss the net some more.

Pars had Forsberg and ... was it Granlund, Duchene? ... as his wingers?

Svech, if he's not a 3rd line winger here, might get placed between a traffic barrel and a guy with a cardboard twig.

Andrew Brunette is still the HC of the Nashville Predators. Yes they can be that dumb.
Svech will be on the 3rd line as a winger.

At least Svech avoids the curse of having to instantly produce as a center on a line that can't.

Not sure where you got such a specific number as 98%, but it's not close to that. According to ESPN it's 76.6% since 2013 (Wyshynski: Why the NHL Thanksgiving standings trend may not continue this season).

There's also a deeper analysis to look at- of course teams like San Jose, Chicago etc. aren't going to go on some miracle run to make it at this point. I think folks were a lot less surprised when Edmonton (5-12-1 at Thanksgiving last year) made a run. I think the Thanksgiving thing is just a truism that doesn't really have a lot of analytical weight behind it.

Either way, the Preds are in a big hole and I don't think any of us are optimistic at this point. I think it's fair to say EDM, or for that matter NSH last year (also outside looking in at Thanksgiving), both looked better by eye test and underlying numbers than the records indicated. I don't think that's the case for the Preds right now.

I should have wore my 2011 Weber road jersey 2nite. Sporting a Perds hoodie instead. Back in '13, I think, the Preds sent some STH's an invite to meet him. I went and it was a smalli informal event as he brought his two giant dogs with him. He signed my sweater and we small talked for a few. Good dude. Down to Earth.

Having pregame Old Fashioned's. Go Preds! Enjoy life.

Oh that's just the pessimist in me. It seems like we've dug ourselves into too big of a hole to get out of.

With Pärssinen and Tomasino scratched and Schenn solidly in the lineup ...... un-freaking-stopabble.

Time to start drinking.

I started 30 minutes ago at Tennessee brew works. It’s such a crazy thing here with complete calm followed by a deluge of tourists arriving on one of those huge tractor abominations.

Would rather be enjoying your Weller tho.

I'm telling ya, we're gonna go ham on the Jets and Brunette will be here FOREVER...
Visqi told me to run towards the light, so in the spirit of staying positive ... I guess that's ok. We should get a couple of high lottery picks in the next few drafts. Maybe we can get our own McDavid and McDraisaitl.
