I think Canes would much rather have their lots of 26th OV pick, Barron/Harris and Beck
Ouch, poor Jets.
They might want to rethink drafting those NTDP kids at some point.
No, Jets would not be targeting a player with few years of team control and they certainly wouldn't be adding to their offer.
Montreal should look at this, Mailloux+Beck? Something around that

The problem is I seriously doubt McGroarty is going to be valuing playing in Canada if he controls this process.
I think this is appealing for the Jets.
Jets need a youth infusion at RD and Mailloux is ready to plug in.

Rutger McGroarty still has 2 seasons of NCAA eligibility left, so the Jets can afford to sit on their developing prospect for at least another season, so everyone can just cool it and just Relax.

Hmm well Detroit would probably be interested if he's available. Maybe a deal one for one with Marco Kasper going to Winnipeg. Projects as a 2nd line center.

What are jets biggest needs, saw someone say RHD and unfortunately don’t think we can help there(only expendable guy we have is prob moore and he can walk after this season in college, so I doubt he signs with the jets)

If a good trade doesn’t materialize just wait. Take the second round compensation and show kids they have to play 4 years in the NCAA and possibly stunt their development

Especially if he will only sign with one team. No other team will give up an asset for him knowing it’s a waste. And why would the team he plans on signing with give up a young asset? They will do like Minny did to get Faber. Move out a good player but one who either currently gets paid a bit too much or who is coming up to a new contract where he will likely get a bit too much. Chevy is pretty shrewd though. I expect a return like with Trouba where it appears at first it’s bad but after a while it looks okay. Not great like the return for PLD but still okay.
