I'll take the win but that was ugly. The top line showed another gear. The Jets really poor defensively and the overall quality of offense for the Avs was better than the Jets. The Jets generated a decent amount but gave up way way way too much.

colorado should dial it back because they don't have the goalie that can bail them out, so I think this series will tighten up more, also if the monahan line could have settled down the puck they could of had a few great looks

Everyone needs to be better than tonight to varying degrees but the top 5 are Pionk, Pionk, Samberg, Stanley, and finally Pionk.

Helly almost always bounces back hard from a sub Helly game.

Hellebuyck will be better. Colorado’s goaltending will remain as bad. The refs can’t possibly be as f***ing incompetent in game two.

For my money the Avs highrolled like mad and still didn’t win. I would have been concerned even if we lost, I’m certainly not sweating now.

Jets won but it was hardly satisfying. A better Avs goalie and we probably lose that game.

Can we stop saying that silly take? Guess what, they have a crap goalie and he lets in goals. When you spend money on everything but a goalie, the goalie is going to let goals in and is your weakness.

Felt like a series breaker actually - Avs threw everything... if Helle would have lost 8-7 in OT, I don't know how the team rebounds...

Jets made some bad defensive mistakes especially that play by Samberg on Avs 2nd goal. Not sure what he was thinking there.

Well, good thing the Avs have Georgiev... Any win is a win the playoffs. Colorado playing rather dirty and getting away with a lot - and our PP was actually functional.

Onwards and upwards. I expect a more settled Game 2.
