this posts reminds me of the time you complained about the copp return with out even knowing what we got, claiming we should have went for justin barron and when it was pointed out sakic wouldn't have traded barron for a rental you said we should have added... remind me again, how is justin barron doing now?
The same poster wanted to trade Kyle connor for a 1st round pick years ago. They don't have a clue.

Firefox, Edge, and Chrome results are the same. It was working on Thursday... :dunno:

Hmmmmm?
Wish I could be of more help. Strange problem.

Ad blockers off? AV and firewall off?

Looking at @Guardian17 's description makes me think it is at the site's end but most people having no problem points back at your systems. Maybe a memory issue. Do you have problems on any other site? Or any other symptoms, like PC running slowly, etc?

I mean we could be creative like montreal and trade picks #31 and #37 for alex newhook and pick #13 and #66 for dach because those are the types of young players that actually get traded...

First time seeing Nemec play and he was responsible for at least 3 of the Jets goal
Giveaway to Lowry. Not defending on KFC’s goal
Can’t box out Perfetti

As an overall #2 pick and in his D+3 already I’m calling him a bust.

Hmmm...strange. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the browser (or install something like Opera). It's odd it's happening on both Firefox and Chrome/Edge. What would cause the issue system wide though? Virus? Malware? Some of the ads this site serves up are pretty sketchy.

Ha! This reminds me of my ex-wife who would bring up my transgressions from the day we met.

I have no recollection of what you are referring to. I do recall having wanted Justin Barron at one time. He is not the only young guy I have thought we should get who has not turned out.

My suggestions on those lines always assume that we have scouted the player and the scouts concur. I don't always mention that because it is an obvious requirement.

I have been posting here for a couple of years that we should go after Jiri Kulich before he has a breakout year and becomes too expensive. The jury is still out on that one but I think the price would be pretty high already.

My record on picking the young players to pursue doesn't change the point though. Surely our scouts could do a better job of picking them than I can. Make a short list of under 26 YO players who could fill our weak spots and go after a couple of them. Put everything on the table and pay what it takes.

I saw a post in this thread saying Oleksiak refused to waive for us. He didn't get traded anywhere else either. Did Chevy try to get Ferraro out of SJS? He had no protection. Maybe he would have been a better target for Chevy instead of Oleksiak. He better fits my template.

A bit too soon, but not looking good. Jiricek from that same draft not looking good either.

man you make it sound so simple... surely teams would much rather have our late 1sts and non blue chip prospects for there young roster players..

it's a small pool of players that the jets can actually get... young players rarely get traded and those that do it is usually for a reason and most majority of the players teams do end up trade have some sort of protection and were most likely on it

he probably tried to get ferraro but san jose just traded walman and are thin on d now the price probably would have been insane for a bottom pairing d

It doesn't have to work very often. We have had the same 2 holes for years. The alternative is trying at the TD and in FA and coming up empty year after year.

It isn't a 1C and a 1RD we have needed. It is a 2C and a 2RD.

That could be the way it went with SJS but it is purely speculation. If so, move on to the next one. And Schenn is not that.

Jets need to just draft the best C available for every draft based on their position (within reason).

If you go back and look at the last 5-8 drafts and the best C and RHD available after we picked, you'll see that neither was really an option

can you honestly sit there and say that you think that chevy doesn't try and call on every available center? do you pay attention to the needs of other teams? 90% of them are looking for centers... like both us and colorado were desperate for a 2c and look what it ended up taking to get nelson...

we called on oleksiak/soucey/carlo/dumoulin and probably a lot more. you act as if when nothing gets done it's from lack of trying...
