Helly almost got a shutout , he played fine last night, just ask the Devils.
One part of the highlights he was belly down, completely flat along the goal line and I was like "how does that even happen" :P

Obviously he battled through, but I saw a lot of awkward saves and pucks not sticking to him as normal.

Tanev looked good on the fourth line, produced a goal!

Terrific team effort

5 out of 5 John Wicks

1st place comfortably

Onwards and Upwards

Gus sat and Tanev played on the 4th line with Iafallo and Barron . Barron played center and Tanev looked exactly like he did when he left. Skates and plays hard every shift .
I thought Gus sat when Barron came back in?
Didn't they sit Kupari for Tanev?

It was only that one sequence and it was largely due to a crazy scramble by both teams infront of the net.

Because of the lack of a streak like last season where they went however many games without allowing more than two goals, I hadn't realized how few goals the Jets had allowed.

They are pacing for 10 goals fewer goals allowed than last year when they won the Jennings. The Stars, who have the second fewest GA this season, have allowed 12 more goals in 2 games less.

The 4th line configuration will be interesting.
Iafallo is a lock.
Tanev seems like maybe he'll be a lock.
That only leaves one space for Barron, Kupari & Gus.

I'm intrigued to see Tanev and Kupari together because that's a lot of speed.
But I think the Jets want Barron in the line up because he's one of our biggest players and brings a lot to the table.

If he can handle center duties then that threesome may be the go to for the 4th.

Someone remind Stanley what the Jets jerseys look like, he kept passing to the other team. FFS.

Really not looking forward to Stan/Schenn pairing, I just cannot see how that will be an effective third pair, really think they should run a guy like Heinola with Schenn but I suppose that's just a pipe dream at this point.

Biggest disappointment of the TDL was that Chevy didn't work on getting a Stan replacement. can't blame him for being unable to find a 2C as I am sure he did all he could there for the likes of Nelson, but no excuse for not finding a 3LD replacement.

Someone mentioned potentially running Schenn with Morrissey so that DeMelo could babysit Stan.
Heinola has less than zero trust from the coaches so outside of a couple of injuries he won't play any meaningful minutes.
They should have at least grabbed a back up plan for Stanley that they would be willing to put out there.
Fleury during his top 4 experiment seemed better than Logan so I guess that's it.
Plus Schenn could play both sides so Miller could also be used.

One report was that Carlo wouldn't waive for the Jets so we were blocked from getting him.
The next CBA needs to cut back on the no-trade clauses.
Teams should have a limit to how many they can give out or something.
