I think when you have a horse like Jomo you play him a much as he's capable of. Historically, elite defensemen play 26-30 minutes a night, and if you're second pair is also performing well, they're going to take another 18-20 which simply doesn't leave a lot of time for the third pair.
I'd say the Ehlers Stanley play was partially the forwards fault as you need to give your D options, but at the end of the day Stan has to do something better with that puck, even if it's flipping it out.
I think Samberg has had a really steady growth in his game. He used to make a lot of bone headed plays, but in the first half of the year he's really minimized them. Just experience, confidence and the game slowing down for him. The 2 games before last night really looked like young snerg, likely due to rust and maybe soreness in that foot.
