And we are “Takin’ care of business…and workin’ overtime..”

3/5 Skeletons tonight, not the best night for Helle but he did make some great saves in the second. Joshua with a great game offensively. Koal is getting better and better, KFC is KFC, Barron is becoming a very good player. Not a lot you can take from tonight's game the Hawks need work but they played well tonight. Winning the Division with an actual win was the best part of the night. 2 games to close out the season can they win the Presidents Trophy? would be great for this fanbase and franchise but we all want the bigger prize that awaits.

Tops in the West, who would have thunk it? Not a great effort by our guys, but a win is a win. I love three-on-three overtime, but hate the shootout. I give this game three "Da Bears" out of five...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the Coilers has been posted for your guesses. I have already posted the GDT for that game and will follow it up with the season ending GDT on Wednesday. See you tomorrow! Good night...

Just a reminder the President's trophy "curse" is a myth -- and President's winners have had the highest Cup Rate than any other "place" finishers.

President's winner wins just over 20% of Cups - despite 16 teams (so about a 6% chance to win, all being equal).

Since 1986 (when it started). 8 winners have won the cup (including '94 Rangers)

So 8 out 37 Cups, or 22% of cups are won by President's winner.

This is also the highest % of any other seed.

Honestly. If the Jets cratered and are knocked out in Round 1, it would have nothing to do with the Presidents Trophy, given how the last couple years have gone. They’d have no one to blame but themselves.

Maybe I’m too used to our homers Robertson and Sawyer, but it felt like this game was called like a Hawks telecast
It was the usual Sportsnet BS but nothing can take away the Jets success this year. I have been concerned about how they will do in the playoffs but to be tops in the West and Central is an amazing feat for a team from the smallest market in the league. Congrats to True North, Chevy, Chipman, Arniel and his staff and to the players that have made this a reality.
I hope they get a 10 minute standing ovation tomorrow night!!
