Kupari reminds me of Darren Helm. A fast skating, good forechecking PK center that can win a draw. Maybe not what he was drafted to be but he can have a long career in that type of role.

He makes some high skill plays at times but doesn’t quite complete them. If he can ever figure it out, he could be a 2C, but probably ends up a bottom sixer

Yeah Kupari is gonna be a useful bottom-6 forward in this league for a very long time.

I was at this one. Great atmosphere, lively crowd, the US backup chant was epic.

Just a well rounded game. Jets were faster and efficient with the puck. Ehlers and the 4th line stood out to me. Vilardi should have buried a couple.

Love that the Jets countered some dirty plays with some of their own and then killed off the penalties (except Stanley's but somebody behind us broke the shutout rule)...Really impressed with the way the Jets played in front of their own net, forwards broke up some Grade As.

Now comes the grinding road trips, but Arniel has got the team to put points in the bank.
Tonight was a solid 60 minute effort, and would have been another shutout, if Stanley didn't take a late penalty. Jets played great.

Now a very tough road trip ahead with teams like the Rangers, Tampa, and Florida -2 times. Even if we go .500, we're still in great shape. If somehow they can go unbeaten, I'd be flabbergasted, however their hot right now, and clicking on all 8 cylinders.

I think we've mathematically locked up a playoff spot. Although I'm not a mathematician it's just based on vibes. I don't think this team will lose 3 in a row this year it's so hard to even imagine.
Seriously is anybody really worried about the Jets not making the playoffs?
I'm just hoping there are no major injuries ... this team is a team of destiny.:partytime::stanley:

Don't test the hockey gods man.

There was a poster here who when the 22-23 Jets were hot in the first half of the season made a post here saying he was bored of all the wins, that winning games was foregone conclusion, that he was past the regular season already and thinking about the playoffs. Don't remember his handle but it was the "flip the switch" guy. Only for the Jets to go in and have a historically bad 2nd half and almost missing the playoffs. 😭
I agree, but el presidente’s award scares me a little bit.

Yeah 3 straight shutouts would have been a special way to achieve the monumental achievement this start has been. I don't blame Stanley, I blame the woman behind us for yelling out the S-word when the Jets were so close. Have to know the superstitions of hockey.

Yep the next stretch will be a test but you have to keep battling...

The 90s tribute lent a good atmosphere to a good game.

Of all goals to break the shut out. That’s the goal lol
Well I can’t wait for sportsnet to ignore the jets tonight.
Yup can't even get a mention on the front page of their NHL page.
This isn't a "hey Toronto gets more clicks thing".
If the Columbus %^$ing Blue Jackets broke the record it should be a prominent item in their news.
Never mind a Canadian team.

If the Leafs, Habs or Canucks had broken the record Sportnet would be literally :eek::eek::eek:ing on the air about it. We could win the Stanley Cup and break the Canadian drought and the headline would be what the Leafs are doing that off season.
