What part of that was good? He managed to turn a clean hit into a 2 minute penalty for his own team and got an ass whupping too. Came flying in trying to get the jump on Lowry but never even threw a punch lol. I was laughing at the complete futility of that play. "Stepping up" isn't good when literally no good comes of it.

I started a thread on the main board about that hit. I think Miller kinda almost head shotted him. But Shief flips his feet out and that's what got him the penalty.

Both of Hoglanders penalties were questionable. They got the fans and the coach going. Tocchet usually doesn't backtalk the refs. But he did tonight.

Rick Bowness was the defensive coach through the whole Sedin/Luongo era. This game was vintage Rick Bowness.

I thought the Schmidt penalty was questionable because Demko was pretty far out of his net and it was incidental contact. Also I think Pionk’s hold doesn’t get called the majority of the time.

Every team thinks the refs are against them.

Difference was Helly being the better goalie, we scored on our power play and Scheifele scored and Peterson didn’t.

Also if we are going by what the main boards are saying, then a really interesting post is that schief’s 4 points don’t count because it was against a bad team.

MAN!! I LOVE it when I'm wrong when I predict against our Jets!! Heated contest! Jets made a few mistakes (not many) but really kept the Canucks in the periphery with their shots. Power play looked different!! More presence in front of net. Penalty kill looked good. They took hits, handled themselves well...felt like a heavy playoff game. Canucks play a heavy game. The Sharks game may have given them some encouragement in the Jets play. Certainly look closer like the team in December than in late January. Looking forward to the Calgary game!!

Apparently Jets win when I am in attendance. Too bad I only get to a game every three years. Team played well, Scheiffle looked good, Morrisey seemed to be on the ice a lot. My son who is not a hockey fan in anyway commented that the Jets keeper looked really good. He was.
Schmidt with a few gaffes, Appleton seems to lose the puck a lot and the whole team seems to pass up scoring opportunities to pass. All in all the team played exactly as they needed to get the win.
As for the Vancouver debate, I love the city, lots of great things about it. Victoria is just as nice with less nightlife.
Make no mistake if someone from Vancouver disses Winnipeg, the downtown eastside, (Hastings and Main) is the biggest shithole in Canada.

I was there last year for a Bomber game and took a walk down Hastings one day, you're not wrong has a Higgins vibe going and that's not a complement, other than that it really is a cool beautiful city and a nice visit.

By the sounds of it the Jets were very well represented in the arena tonight, they too were rewarded.

There are lots of us here and a Jet fan won the 50/50 too ... $279,000.00
To tell you the truth the fans at the game are not that bad as the ones on the board. Sure they cheer for their team during the game and boo the refs and visitors just like every other sports city.
Leaving the arena lots of people wearing Jet jerseys and nobody threw digs or try to start a fight.
It was funny the Jets first PP the fans were laughing at the Jets for passing the puck around and around and killing off the penalty. Then karma hit them ... 2 straight PP goals to take the lead lol.

I missed the game in real time, was at a party and just caught snippets. After it was locked up 2 -2 I refused to look at my phone until now.

Just catching up -..what a great game by our Jets!!

Monahan with a beauty on the tic tac toe play.

Schuffles with 4 points, and 4 SOG. Really showed why he wears the A.

Helly standing tall, possibly one of his finest outings as a Jet. Chaos giraffe's goal was a beauty, got helly on the short side.

We seem to have Vancouver's number, but the effort was superb.

So happy with the lads, they made a statement.
