Whether you win 7-0 or 4-3 in OT you still only get 2 points, not sure what they were doing in the 2nd and 3rd but you have to give the Preds some credit, they have motors that don't quit and hit everything in site they will be a tough match up as long as Saros plays lights out. Jets have 102 points and that tells me they are a very good team.
Team went into a shell when it's not their forté. They should play to their strengths. Though might be as good a time as any to work on it.

Awful game from everyone except Hellebuyck.

The goals from Vilardi and Scheifele were nice, and the 2 on 1 in OT was textbook but you don't play 3 on 3 in the playoffs so who cares. Scheifele almost quite literally gave the extra point away just before so it's even at best.

The less said about Pionk, the better. Scheifele looks off or his head is elsewhere right now. Ehlers had one of his worst games, no issue with cutting his ice time but others definitely could've used some benching time as well.

I've felt better about most of the losses this season than this win.
Agreed ot is not 3 on 3 in the playoffs and this team is too soft.

The usual suspects always get benched. It is becoming obvious that Scheif may be the same type of dressing room diva that Wheeler was and this will hold them back from playoff success

At this time of year, who gives a f***. We need 16 wins in the playoffs. Who cares how they look

If we win 12 like that and dominate only 4 games, I'll be just as happy at the parade as if we had dominated all of them
You cannot win 12 let alone 4 games playing like that in the playoffs. This team is done but at least they had a decent regular season

Once again, I fell asleep after the Mustard Kitties tied it up at three. Nice to see them win, but they still gave Nashville a point, which sucks. It was also nice to see @Eyeseeing make an appearance tonight, even though it was brief. I give the game three "Squirrels" out of five...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the Dallas "Don't Call Us North" Stars has been posted for your guesses. The battle for top spot is really heating up, so make sure you get your guesses in, only four more opportunities left, so make them count. I will be making the GDT for Thursday's game, but Saturday against the Avalanche and Tuesday against the Kraken are up for grabs. See you on Thursday! Good night...

Great job boys. Helle kept them in it to be able to pull it off.

Chef with a great game and once again Barron was noticeable.

Gritty win against a very solid team. I dont know why but I love watching games vs the Preds. They have an exciting vibe in that building. Soros with a weak game and was fighting the puck all night. Some beauty goals by Vilardi, Chef, and KC

Worst I have seen Ehlers play. My only complaint is Bones did not recognize it earlier and reduce his minutes

Good:

- Morrissey was very good. He and DeMelo certainly calmed things down when out there and gave a sense of confidence allowing very little.
- Hellebuyck was excellent. Should win the Vezina. If he plays that way in playoffs, Jets will surprise.
- Monahan. Strong two-way game, imo. Seems to be in right spot all the time.

Bad:

- Pionk. Boy, he is a complete tire fire at times. Not just poor reads but can’t skate well enough to recover. Feel for Dillon. A bit early, but I can’t wait for Salomonsson to arrive. He’s a much better skater and plays that aggressive, defensive style the Jets like. Jets role Pionk out like he’s a #2 and he’s very far away from that. Huge hole in the lineup.
- Appleton. Seemed to be off tonight.
- Ehlers. His risky turnovers will get him stapled to the bench in the playoffs.

Nino will make the 3rd line more effective. Toffoli will make the 2nd line more dangerous. Ehlers has to be careful or Iafallo or Names will play on his line in 3rd in the playoffs.

I am not interested in other team except when they play the Jets and I have seen enough trams cave them in over the past 3 months too know this team is not a contender. I hope to be proven wrong but doubt I will be
go from saying that the jets would be a lottery team without helle to not a contender when called out... gotcha..

If you are not a contender ya might as wellbe a lottery team rather than a team stuck in the murky middle.
I believe without him they are a bottom 10 team. You do not have to agree with me but at least admit this team has deficiencies that contenders dont
