Maybe auditioning Vilardi for the 2C role? Or seeing what they have in terms of centers in case of injury? Ehlers took a surprising amount of faceoffs today as well. Good game as any to experiment, we have a solid point buffer and losing to Pittsburgh wouldn't be a huge deal.
Started last game and Arniel said it was Scheif's call not his. That may be one where Scheif prefers to be in a shooting position off the draw, with the quick release, which could throw another wrinkle in offensively, could be hard injury, hard to say.

OK fun game blah blah - no surprise beating these guys,
But I missed the KC fight - against Crosby?
Wow - I'll need to find a reply of that -
Who won?
Not much of a fight. I guess if you had to pick a winner, it was Connor. Connor dropped the gloves, and threw a couple punches and knocked Crosby down, although I think Crosby lost his balance, then got back up right away. Looks like Connor can more than than hold his own tho.

In the long run he might of done this organization a huge favour.

Yeah Yager is a good kid and he will do everything he can to earn his spot on this team. He won't demand it. Plus he's used to playing in cold nowhere towns in the prairies so no issues there. Winnipeg is just like a bigger busier Moose Jaw anyways.

Everytime someone demands their way out Chevy has done well on the return. Even if Yager only becomes a bottom 6 player while McG becomes a solid top 6er, we will have someone who will want to play for the team, not himself.

What's going on in Moose Jaw this year, and talk about moving him?

First and foremost his teeth god damn what a smile, seriously I not that thrilled with some of his draft choices and his deadline deals have been apart from Stastny terrible. We really need to get away from the players don't want to come here, I for one am glad that over the hill FA's don't want to come here they rarely pay off.
I agree that trading away 1sts should be a pretty big no-no for a "draft and develop" team

Or more likely in a distribution position off the draw. It does give that line more potential offensive off the draw. It did appear they went quickly back to their respective center and winger positions after the draw.

I don't want to pile on Moose Jaw, but that has to be one of the ugliest collections of humans in the country. Nothing against them. I'm sure they're fine folks, but everyone there looks like they fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Again, with all due respect to any Moose Jawans (Jawese?) reading this...

Ehlers was 1 for 3.

One punch each way, both fell down. Crosby loses because the fight was the result of him throwing a tantrum because Connor threw a reverse hit on him.

Moose Jaw is dead last right now. It's likely most of the veteran presence on the team is moved at some point here. I think there is a lot of work being done behind the scenes but things generally don't happen until closer to the deadline in early January. We'll likely hear more chatter after Christmas break.

Hey no worries. Reminds me of a good story, a group of us Moose Jaw boys went up to Winnipeg for my bachelor party, after a Jets game and few pops we decided to visit the rippers there, I think the headliners name was Bacon Strips, said she was born right there in Winnipeg. Everyone was waving hundred dollar bills and yelling "put it back on!!". She must have made a killing.

Lower bowl had a lot of empty seats, maybe they count by 2 in Pittsburgh.
More like 4x. Was pretty amazed to see the thin crowds. I noted the Florida arena was full for the Jets game; obviously helps the team is defending Cup champs but Jets historically are not a draw. Florida felt differently; Pittsburgh didn't get the memo. For all the grief we get about not selling out...

Great job by Connor with the Gordie. Phantom tripping call leading to the Pens goal was egregious.

Poor Crosby. He's a legend. His team sucks now. I get it man. Karlsson should be making about 2.5 million for what he brings. He's also a legend. Malkin looked like a normal human being. These aren't your grandpa's penguins. On the other hand, the jets looked like they were skating twice as fast as the penguins. Perhaps it's time to admit the jets are pretty good.
