Wow, that's got to hurt!

I don't know why people even do that.
The one piercing I ever got was a labret. I remember the piercer guy calmly explaining to me he was going to take a hollow tube and shove it through my face. I'm not sure what I expected but it wasn't that. I almost bolted, but didn't because of the one male "superpower" of my generation - which is do anything to not appear chicken shit. But yeah, I cringe at a lot of piercings because I always imagine what if they caught on something and got ripped out.

__________

If the Jets go anywhere in the playoffs, it will be because of their depth. The top talent and goaltending needs to show up, that goes without saying. But this team wins or loses by committee, and tonight's win showed how on any given night, this team has enough talent that any player on the ice can step up and win the game for us.

For as long as I can remember Minnesota has been the archetype of mediocrity. Shelbyville still has zero swagger compared to Winnipeg.

I don't really care who the 1st round matchup is. The West is a blood bath this year. Getting the knights or Nashville wouldn't exactly be great.

Toffoli's going back to line 2.
Nino to line 3.
Perfetti to the press box.
I would like all lines the same except Neo in for Appleton and Appleton sitting but it probably won't happen so put Appleton on the 4th and Barron sits. I think Perfetti is playing well and should stay right where he is for now.

Really good game overall by the Jets. You could tell they worked on details and getting to their plan. All lines looked the same and thats what they have been talking about wanting back.

Vilardi played very, very well. Even though he didn't score he is just so dangerous with and without the puck. Also thought Stanley played except as well and did a really fine jib with Samberg

That 4th line was exceptional. It is unfortunate that one is likely going to have to move once Nino is back and it really sucks it is probably Barron. They are so many plays and opportunities that he forces to happen by being physical. There is no way Apples come out, that third line is too effective at what they do together.

Hella back to form and things clicking for the team at the right time. Time to punt Nashville out of the Stratosphere next game

So when Nino comes back, who goes out?

Appleton if toffoli stays in 3rd line
Perffetti if Toffoli goes to 2nd line
So tough.

I don't think Toffoli is being maximized on the 3rd line. I can't see Nino going anywhere but the third to reunite that line.

If I had my way, the third line would become the 4th and the new third line would be a buttery soft matchup line.

We know 7 and 27 have chemistry, and you wouldn't have to worry about them defensively.

I also feel like 27 and 91 work

So....

73 55 13. 17 mins
81 23 9. 16 mins
27 7 91. 15 mins
62 17 22 12 mins

36 19 15

In my mind this works only if you reduce 55 and 81 lines ice time. Ofc if we're leading most the game the 4th line gets more time

Too wild I know.

You can trace their fall back to when they went for it and got Parise and Suter. Those deals looked good on the surface and did make the wild a contender but the carnage of the length of contracts and subsequent buyouts left them hamstrung.

That's why I'm glad Chevy is very calculating during free agent frenzy. You can really damage your future with legacy contracts.

He hasn't been perfect (Stuart, Pavelec and Wheeler to some extent) but he's not big on mortgaging the future and I appreciate that.

Bones is a veteran kinda of guy, I think you know where I'm going with this and unfortunately Perfetti won't be in the playoff lineup to start if Nino is ready. That 4th line is really gumming up the works with their recent play but in a good way making it an even harder decision for Bones, maybe he surprises us.

I liked Toffoli on that line, yes it's going to suppress his offense, but they seemed to rub off on him in terms of effort level. And he'll still get pp1 minutes.
Besides, I suspect that all this lineup talk will be moot in the end.....no way we continue to be this "healthy".

You'd take out Barron and have Miller in your top 4?

Yeah to Barron. I think Perfetti offers more. Barron over Appleton maybe, but could go either way there. I've liked Apples over the last month.

Not really sure on Miller but he might be stronger than Pionk in the top 4. I wasn't really looking at the D pairings tbh though.

Exactly what has Miller done since he got here to warrant him even being in the lineup forget top 4, he has barely played and when he has it hasn't been anything to write home about.
Yeah he was brought in as depth not with the idea of supplanting anyone in the top four.

His profile indicates he is pretty comparable with Dillon, Samberg and Schmidt overall.

I don't think it's a bad take saying he could be a second pair guy than Pionk. But that's not realistic to actually happen I don't think.
