At this time time of year it's a grind. Games are about doing what it takes to win. Wasn't pretty. But was enough.
I like the way Namestnikov and Perfetti are playing well without Ehlers. The Ehlers injury has taken an element of attack from the team but I think you are seeing guys step up in different ways.
Perfetti made some real nice plays that led to the Jets 2nd goal. If you listen to the coach he's definitely trying to win zone time, and Perfetti's work helped set up an offensive zone line change that set up the Jets 2nd goal. Love Lowry winning a net battle with two guys to score that one.
Special teams made the difference. 2-0 victory on that front. And goaltending of course. The Laine-Helle battle was a good one. Advantage goalie.
Chippy game, lots of stick work, but needed that victory to get the 5 points out of the homestand that keeps pushing the pace in the West.
