Game Thurs, April 10 to decide Div, Conf, Presidents Trophy. In Dallas. Just possibly decides Cup too. But ..... no pressure.

Why do some people say this like it's a bad thing ? Take out every team's best player and you can say the exact same thing about those teams. We aren't getting out shot or outplayed every game with Helly standing on his head getting us wins . And ya you are right we are better than good ,we are the best team in the entire league.

I am not saying it like it is a bad thing. The fact is without his play they are not in first place. I agree take the best player off the top 10 teams and they are likely worse but Helly has been on another level this year and while they are playing much better team defence; he still makes at least 2 or 3 game saving goals or game changing goals per game.

You and me both I haven’t been able to see a game live on TV for this homestand. Now I am in Kelowna for this week and won’t be watching any games either. Too bad I hear they are playing well this season.

Part of my new approach to this season was to watch less Jets hockey so I moved on from watching games when I am on the road, and I also don’t watch late games from the West Coast. I PVR but I probably only watch 1 in 5 games that I have PVR’d. On balance I find the new approach is working out better for me.

The first line has the green light and all other offensive situations so I doubt any of their point totals are negatively impacted. But I do think our second and third line probably don't score as much due to a pretty big focus on defense.

The only guess I could make would be that they were expecting the Canucks to dump it in from centre and not give that quick up pass?

Wonder who gets the recall for the road trip?

Jets forward depth is being tested late in the season. With Chibrikov and Ford out, Vilardi and Kupari on the shelf, Jets are one more forward injury from deploying depth Moose players.

See that Malott is playing top 6 on the Kings all of a sudden.

Team is above average in offense generated so I'd argue that Arniel isn't as defensive minded as Bones. He seems more of a two way coach albeit defense is weighted a bit more heavily then O.

Good question. I'd guess Lambert or Toninoto get recalled.

No kidding ... I love Paul Edmonds excitement on Jets goals.
Perfetti did this move a few games ago too but the goalie made the save or he missed the net I can't remember but nobody remembers if you don't score.

If the Jets had a bigger lead on Dallas I'm pretty sure some Moose players would be playing in the lineup already for a game or two. Call ups always seem to be a lot of energy in their first game. It would not surprise if the Jets bring up Salomonsson and play him in the last game or 2 of the season.

The Perfetti goal was a treat to watch live.

I thought Stanley was the weak link as usual, and I don’t think Schenn and Stanley should both be in the lineup at the same time. But man, Samberg is so steady in everything he does and Morrissey is the engine for the whole team. I’m also impressed at how self-aware Scheifele is about what he can and can’t do, his hockey IQ really serves him these days - plays like veteran.

But I can't help a little trepidation. They are on a 5 game win streak. They win the game in hand and it is only 4 points. They win the April 10th game and it is only 2 points.

I am optimistic, confident and clenching.
