There is nobody especially me who could of foreshadowed what this team could do this year, Helle wanted to be on a contender guess he got his wish. Now there still a lot of the schedule left but this ain't last years team and the expectation turns to a high playoff position and having a great run
I should probably just give AlphaLackey my Vcash now. Bet him after the first few games of the season that this was not a playoff team. It's not written in stone yet but on that day when we clinch a spot I will happily fall on my sword.

And again when you look at who left since the end of last season and who was brought in late last season and in the off season as well as the Lowry captaincy one can't say enough about the job Chevy and Bowness have done. Complete flip flop of the team dynamic and chemistry.

Things will get tougher from here on in, we are seeing it even against the teams that are going nowhere but with the return of our injured players and maybe one add at or before thr trade deadline this is the deepest and most overall complete team we have ever had I think.

Go Jets Go.

f*** I love this hockey team.

Not that the Jets need any validation, but it's funny that the Jets game result is buried on TSN and Sportsnet webpages. Like you know if the Leafs ever moved into first place at this point in the year, it would be a topic in the top 5 articles. Whatever.. tell us more about how that Nylander overpayment is going...

Another come from behind victory, the Jets sure like to let the opposition score first. Nate Schmidt scoring? Who would have thunk it? Not I, that's for sure. Croissant with another "buttery goodness" game, kept Winnipeg in the "hunt" tonight. I give this game four David Letterman's out of five...

Bringing in Nino and Vladdy has done wonders for this team and look at that they both extended here. Getting PLD and Wheeler out of here needed to be done. The trade for the LA guys has also worked out. All have fit in nicely and the Jets have benefited

I had accepted the rebuild honestly, expecting Scheifele and Helle to be traded or to walk. Then even when Scheifele and Hellebuyck signed I questioned if they were just getting the money that they could, but they've both been fantastic this season. It doesn't feel like they're content enough with the money they're making, feels like they want a cup.

Anyone else super pumped for schmidt's first of the year?

Much maligned around here at the start of the season, but he put his head down and figured out how to play the right way and shut down other teams

Finally pots his first tonight

Universally loved by his teammates... one of the good guys who had been a little unsung... great to see a guy like that score

Yup I sided with the rebuild, thought that both Scheifele and Helly had run their course here, well it's not the first and wont be the last time I will be wrong.

He's been great lately. Mentioned it before but I feel like the general consensus on him is that if he's not getting points he's hurting the team. It's assumed that he's a liability defensively but that honestly hasn't been the case for awhile now.

Oh yeah, for the 2 or 3 of you wondering how my special evening went. It didn't really work out like I was hoping.

We had an excellent dinner in my favourite restaurant then I suggested we move to the lounge for drinks. It was really busy and my sightline to the bar wasn't great and I couldn't see Inanna. We got served by some young guy who brought our drinks over. Just when I thought I'd remembered it wrong and she didn't work here, I glanced over and there she was. My hunches and deductions were right and she is every bit as gorgeous as I remember. People kept blocking my view, plus I had guests to entertain so I couldn’t stare so I never caught her eye directly. She was behind the bar for the whole 30-45 mins I was there. We never got within 30 feet of each other but I did confirm that I'm not a senile old fool and she is stunning. Now I'm more determined than ever to persuade her to post some photos in here. Just to help the team win, of course.
So in other words she didn’t have to pulled out her aces from her bra.:D

I felt bad for him because he's been good defensively and has created plays in the offensive zone but he could never hit the net, he finally figured out where it is and hoping he can get a few more now

He had a stretch, a fairly long one where he was a tire fire but since he came back into the lineup after the failed Stanley expirement(all of us here knew he was a lost cause) Schmidt has been stellar. I don't think Heinola just waltz's into the lineup when he's finally ready to play, he's going to have to re earn the spot he seemed destined to be getting coming out of camp.

2nd in goal differential behind only the "Nucks.
