Too inebriated to say much. It was no masterpiece but it was a win, and a win makes us all feel glad to have spent the time watching. Losing streak is over, time for Jets to build on it. If you feel affinity towards the hockey team out the 204, this one's for you.

Much love

This is splendid. A+ brother!

This win calls for some Clutch..

Firebirds

Outside of Needles I nearly lost my mind
I pulled over on the shoulder
Yeah, and I was there for some time
A young thing came walking
From out behind the trees
She gave me consolations
And this is what she said to me

"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently"

Yeah, I said, I can get with that
Oh, I like those things too
But I don't own a Firebird
Perhaps this Datsun will do
Outside of the valley
Yeah, we got to overheating
She took off her sunglasses
And said I believe this bears repeating

"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently"
"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently" (firebirds)

Outside of Barstow
We got to living on the lam
Sometimes doing odd jobs
And sometimes living off the land
Yeah, things went sour
And the girl, she got to packing
When I asked her why
She said "there are two things you are lacking"

"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently"
"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently, Firebirds"

It was far from a great game, but the Jets didn't play terribly either. A desperately need win that's for sure. I'm thankful for Helly during tight games like this one.

I can't stand Logan Stanley. I would be fine giving away for nothing at this point, but for whatever reason Chevy is a sucker for the sunk cost fallacy - 1st round pick so I have to appear like I'm getting some use out of him, and nobody is likely to give up more than mid to late round pick for him.

Garrett's take is bad. Offhand, I remember 20 plus years ago, when Hawerchuk wasn't voted into the HOF on his first attempt losing out to Joey Mullen of all people, Garrett's idiotic take was that Hawerchuk would be nothing more than a 3rd line centre on the 80s Oilers. Well no kidding knucklehead! Most of the great centres in NHL history would be 3rd line centres behind Gretzky and Messier.

Colorado lost and the Leafs lost so all in all a good evening.
I had forgotten about that comment those many years ago from Garrett. One too many pucks to the head, perhaps?

A long day for me, as I fell asleep in the third. Jets actually scored, and as I said in the last PGT, you don't win if you don't score. They played a whole lot better and it resulted in a win. Now let's hope this starts off a long streak of wins. I give this game four "uglies" out of five...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the Sharks has been posted for your guesses. Thanks to @SUX2BU for getting this team out of a funk and into the win column with his GDT. Don't forget to sign up to create your own GDT, the one on Wednesday is available. See you then! Good night...

Hrudey said 5-6 games and the rest started defending Reilly right away and blaming the shooter, we wouldn't want all the Southern Ontario residents turning the channel.
They decide who's going to defend which side beforehand, but that's a pretty stupid thing to defend.

Vilardi needs to be moved up to the 55 line as he provides a critical net front component when 55 and 27 are rolling. Not sure whats going on with Connor but let him work it out on the Monahan line against easier competition, he'll also get to handle the puck more on that line that'll maybe help get him out of this funk. Bones' excuse for not wanting Perfetti to play on his offhand is bs.

There's no question this Jets team plays a lot better with Ehlers on the 1st line, and I hope they keep him there. He has great chemistry with Scheifele. Connor is not playing well, and maybe he's still recovering from injury, but for now, they should move him down in the lineup, like maybe to the 2nd line.

Agreed. I'd Like to see Perfetti given a shot with Scheifele and Ehlers. The kid needs some line drivers to play with to get him producing again.

If we won every game 2-1 and then hoisted Lord Stanley's Cup I'd be fine with that be we need at least 9 forwards to find the scoresheet sometime this millenium.

Some Jets forwards haven't scored since Sip was a teetotaler.

Have to agree with you, that Cole should get a shot up on that 1st line to get him going. At the same time, move Connor down to the 2nd line, or lower, until he starts to get his game back. Connor doesn't belong on the 1st line right now -- either playing scared, or still injured. This would also add a goal scorer for Monahan to play with. Better balance as well.
