Speaking of.Makes you wonder if Ehlers did some Olympic level speed skating in Denmark..
Not necessarily. AJF also didn't practice so maybe Kupari will be in for him?Ewwww. That’s not a good sign for 55 returning soon.
Speaking of.
Need a timer to determine what % of PP time has a man in front. Maybe 30%I feel like the entirety of a PP with him on it should be pucks or passes on net with Vilardi there, everytime. It's not like the passes outside have impressed much .
To save $32,000,000 - that’s the whole point. Obviously the GM would need ownership approval though.I mean if you were the owner why would you allow the GM to spend roughly $27 million to buy a player out. That would be a fireable offense to me.
Not a Leafs fan.Keep on posting good news like this and I will actively resist the urge to disparage you.
Kings board seems to think Ehlers is needed for PLD.Anyone else get the goosey bumps watching the videos of Ehlers goal?
The last time I was on a Leafs GDT resulted in Myself being run down, My City was run down and my team was run down. Now I don't care much about myself but what they said about my Team and City was an punch able offence in real life. To Top it off I was banned for 3 months for trollingNot a Leafs fan.

Ever since The Leafs and their fans can go straight to hell
Pretty much every team in the central is gonna be playing weaker schedules - just how it is.The Jets have played the fewest games against teams currently sitting in a playoff spot (13 GP, with a 7-5-1 record = .577). I'd say that playing the Jets is somewhat detrimental to your chances of making the playoffs, but Vancouver has played the most games against teams sitting in a playoff spot (21, with a 15-5-1 record = .738).
Here are the records vs. current playoff teams of the Top 17 teams by points% (I couldn't include the Caps, who are garbage, and leave out the Pens, who are not...so Top 17). Sorted by points% vs playoff teams:
BOS: 14 GP, 9-2-3, .750
VAN: 21 GP, 15-5-1, .738
VGK: 19 GP, 12-5-2, .684
PIT: 18 GP, 9-5-4, .611
NYI: 18 GP, 8-5-5, .583
WPG: 13 GP, 7-5-1, .577
NYR: 14 GP, 8-6-0, .571
TOR: 15 GP, 6-4-5, .566
COL: 16 GP, 9-7-0, .562
FLA: 18 GP, 9-7-2, .555
CAR: 19 GP, 9-8-2, .526
PHI: 18 GP, 8-8-2, .500
DAL: 17 GP, 7-7-3, .500
WAS: 19 GP, 7-8-4, .474
LAK: 18 GP, 6-7-5, .472
EDM: 20 GP, 8-11-1, .425
NJD: 14 GP, 5-8-1, .393
Yeah the Jets have played a lot of crap teams this year so far, but they've still been pretty good vs. non-crap teams.
The buyout talk is based on a hypothetical scenario in which PLD keeps playing like he is now.
If it looks like this is who he is from here on out, a buyout has to be considered.
I assume at some point, he'll start playing better. Hopefully in the playoffs.
But so far he's been terrible. I can't stand watching him play. He makes watching the Kings so much less enjoyable. I've never seen a player consistently give such little effort.

The buyout stuff is just fan talk. Any buyout is gonna be on the books till 2038 or something ridiculous, that doesn't happen. He'll be atleast a servicable 2C in the long run so LA brass will have more patience than the fans.
Actually one of the posters on HFKings ran the numbers and put together a solid business case favouring the buyout - if it's done this season. Millions of dollars saved, but the buyout has to happen while PLD is 25 years old or some such:
If I'm the Kings CFO I would have to at least suggest, if not recommend the buyout.
FWIW I take no pleasure, literally zero schadenfreude, from watching what the HFKings posters are going through. They're a classy and knowledgeable bunch of hockey fans and deserve better than the quagmire this trade has put them in.
I don't like them enough to offer a takeback though...
