Although Freddie is hot, I'd play Pyotr in Game 3. There is a quick turnaround to game 4 so Freddie would be my choice for that one.

I think @tarheelhockey put together a logic tree that would involve playing Freddie for Game 3 and PK for Game 4 regardless of Game 3 outcome. I think that’s where I’m at.

I'd stick with Freddie. Hopefully you go up 3-0 and feel really good about giving Kochetkov a start then. Though, I wouldn't be opposed to Freddie again even with the quick turnaround since you would potentially be looking to close out the series and get him tons of rest anyway.

FWIW: Hurricanes do a nice job delivering in-game entertainment that drives fan engagement and in addition there a periodic chants of "lets' go Canes", trumpet playing, etc. throughout the game. Fan noise is generally very loud at Lenovo.

However, it's not the same as Europe & it's a byproduct of different cultures....the Eu soccer tradition of singing during games etc. that is found in EU hockey too is not embraced by NA hockey fans.

Only game I've ever been too that replicates EU traditions was Game 7 in 2006's Oiler-Cane final. Every fan stood the entire game and the noise never stopped.

I will say when I've been to soccer games that have those type of sections with the constant noise, singing, and chants, I hated it. Almost certainly a byproduct of me not growing up in that culture but I found it grating to listen to.

My only reasoning for PK in game 3 is if Freddie loses, PK has a lot of stress on winning game 4 and not give up the series lead.

I still believe we play Freddie game 3.
