Why would you buy out skinner at 4.5 for 3 years That is the going rate for a 45-50 point second line player

I'm not a Skinner fan but if Buffalo had him at 4.5 mil a year, I'd be pretty happy. Why would Buffalo give the 11th and give Chicago Skinner on a good contract? Even for Buffalo to consider a move like this, ot would have to be Skinner at the 7 or 7.5 mil range.
