His dad didn't coach, no idea how he would have been. He was too nice and too naive to be a GM.
That would be a fun trip down HF's memory lane. I'd be real happy to read it that's for sure ! I like to kid you about it but you were actually quite often right with your assessmentsYou are giving me an idea...I think that one day, I'll write my best/worst players in different categories. For all the years I was there. But then...I don't have a great memory so maybe you guys will add to it for me....I know I already have quite a few guys in my mind....lol
anecdotic but plz don't make a spin of it.It doesn't mean he's a bad coach, but its kind of funny.
Sounds like the guy has put in his dues.
Started from the bottom now he's here....
He recalls in the Q playoffs in 2012, Armada were down 4-0 against Rimouski in Game 7 of the 2nd round. Armada were able to come back in the game, but Houle had benched his scoring leader because work ethic was important.
Round and round we go.
Organization never learns.
Not my type of coach at all but we will see i guess ...
I won't act like I know anything about this guy, so we'll see! But the thing I like is that the Condors changed head coach 3 years ago, and he seems to be the only assistant who kept his job. It's usually a good sign.
Anyone know if he was coaching something specific with the Condors ? Like Richardson with the d-men with the Habs?
The part his team was able to climb back into the game or the fact they did it while benching his best player, who was playing like shit according to the guy?
He is better Just by Not being Joel Bouchard
I'm not a fan of benching players. Reduce the TOI when they have a bad game sure but benching more often than not serve no purpose. It's not primary school it's professional hockey. The fact they tied the game and lost means nothing. That a cause-effect relationship and those are always dangerous to do using a small sample size. My experience watching sports tell me benching a player usually serve no purpose outside of creating a toxic environment.
Dale Weise approves.
