This is weird, because Luc Robitaille exists. Exactly what amount of scoring by bad skaters is correct? Which precise year do we hearken back to? If Jason Allison had a time machine, would he be allowed to use it, or would the fundamental nature of Jason Allison preclude such endeavors? The people deserve to know.
It's not just about skating, Jason Robertson just isn't that caliber of player.

6 points in his last 4 games.

He and Hintz looking like they have picked up on some of that chemistry from previous years.

Hoping his 2nd half is stronger than his first half, which some of can be linked to an interrupted prep in the pre season.

The powerplay has been clicking now too the past few games. Looks night and day out there. Should help his numbers a bit as well. The powerplay is a big reason so many Stars have awful numbers this year

Wow, lots of sh.t talking about the guy with 335 points in 322 games. I almost feel some strong bias in the air. Who cares about his foot surgery and rehab period, he is certainly “done”.
This is nonsense. Most people aren't hating, they are legitimately curious.

His foot surgery was to remove a cyst. It was incredibly minor. If it was major and involved bones or ligaments, this thread doesn't exist 2 months into the season. He was also just as bad in November as he was in October. Also, the last time he missed training camp he was still around a PPG halfway into the season. The excuse doesn't float, buckaroo.

He's been better in December so far, so we'll see.

Not sure how. A cyst removal is not a major surgery. You lose time for pain management, but it has zero effect on locomotion. You're acting like this is an Erik Karlsson achilles situation.

He was fully skating within two months. That is incredibly minor. I'm sorry you got lost. Unfortunately they don't make maps for this.

They don’t make maps for semantic quagmires like yours.

Here's your chance. Which argument did I make that is objectively incorrect? Everything I said was objectively true save one thing.

Is your ENTIRE point based on my assertion that his surgery was minor? Is that the "semantic quagmire" you're so bent out of shape about?

Please, do tell. If a foot surgery that sees a person playing professional hockey 70 days later can't be classified as "minor", then what can be? He could have had that surgery on Oct.1st and he would have been back and played in 4 games already. Hell, Vegas and Tampa players have had fake injuries that last longer than this.

I think one of us is cowering behind "semantics" alright, but it isn't me.

The fourth law of thermodynamics:

In a natural thermodynamic process, the sum of hockey IQ shared between Robertson brothers shall always be constant. If Jason Robertson should put forth a staggering dip in production, so shall Nicholas Robertson balance the scales and increase his own production accordingly, and vice-versa.

Dallas as a team will go south. They'll be playing a poor boring game. Trying g to win 2-1 every night. The bench will look bored to death and disconnected.
Like every team Deboer and Spott run after a couple hundred games.
