Jagr is basically playing NHL hockey on a year-to-year basis until he can't go anymore.

If he does as well(or better) next season like he did this past season, he'll be back again for yet another year.

Jagr was quoted as saying Pete was a "perfect" coach. LAWD

He's the only coach who gave him HEAVY MINUTES.


Of course he'd say he was the perfect coach.

Well I think he was a legit leader with the Rangers.

But yeah he's been a merc in terms of contract dealings until now but you could argue there really isn't going to be much difference money-wise in terms of our offer and someone else's for next year. Maybe another team would give him a two-year deal, but he doesn't actually want one at this point anyway.
