I thought so too but reports on coming out the the Avs don't think they are going to sign him. Now that Jagr is signed early, let's make him an ambassador.

Good point, they'd probably play together two years max. But, Jagr could sell him on the team, Henrique and Zajac, Schneider, and the younger players he sees something in. Lou's job would be to sell Stastny on the long term.

Just a crazy idea but what if Lou were to inquire about Petr Prucha? After all, Prucha had 30 and 22 goals in his first 2 seasons playing predominantly on the same PP as Jagr.

Echoing the other posts, if Stastny came here it wouldn't be to play with Jagr and Zajac. He'd center Henrique.

At that point I'd love to see Lou go all in and trade for Evander Kane to play with the ZJ line. I'd leave RW2 open for the time being without knowing anything else about the market. I'd still like to see Elias center the third line and spread the talent out. It would be great to roll 3 very good lines.

yup, absolutely I was. because Kovalchuk had PROVEN that he was an elite player on the LW. Pete's (really Oates') handedness stuff is all BS.

thats a much different scenario than with Henrique, who is still growing and developing into the player he ultimately will be.
