Jari Kurri or Teemu Selanne?

[Plural]

Was Jari Kurri a complementary player because of his nature, or because Wayne Gretzky was also on the team?

I'm inclined to think it was more about Gretzky than his ability. Though a part of my point was also directed to their respective personalities. Selanne was more than easy to handle being the front man and Kurri was always more natural as a bass player.

It's so hard to put Kurri in the proper context. Literally impossible to put a strong shooting winger in a better position to succeed.

I'd rather have Jari Kurri because of his defensive skills but Teemu Selanne was a bigger star, I think.

i agree with 2 comments above... peak, kurri, career, selanne and also it's hard to cast kurri in the right context.

but if i had to pick one of them to my team, it would be selanne.
