I don't believe that. Houle saw a kid clearly not ready for the AHL. No way a professional head coach would decide that a recently drafted 1st round pick is not worthy and dislikes him. Management wouldn't tolerate that.

He decided a recent 2nd round pick forced to play the AHL at 19 was only going to be a checker and held that opinion even when he arrived later on and despite scoring, playing hard and giving the team more than a number of vets, that player was traded away.

I have a feeling that whatever is done with Habs prospects are at the direction of the big team.

He's a weird case, he's got very few tools to work with, but he just find ways to be a factor every game. He should be a solid AHLer, if nothing else.
