Prospect Info: Jared Davidson

Does anyone ever see him play? going by his stats-line,he's doing well and looked not too bad in camp.
Watched him yesterday, strong 200 ft. player, great competitor and decent skills level. He is Thunderbirds top line center, plays on the 1st PP wave, takes the important faceoffs, trusted in all situations. Thunderbirds have a really strong team this year, so his offensive stats maybe inflated a bit.

Thanks, appreciate that! Any potential as NHl'er? 4th line type.? an Evans comparable with better hands and vision?

Could Davidson be a 4th line C?

Evans made the big club at 23 or 24 years old...

Davidson will play for the Rocket next year and we'll see what he can do.
Xhekaj was an overage Junior last year and in the NhL this year so you never know.

Does Davidson have NHL skating ability?

To be honest I'm not that educated about this kid.

From what I understood he was passed over in the draft when he was eligible because he had really pedestrian offensive numbers.

Last year his offensive production really skyrocketed so the Habs took a chance on him.

If you watch his highlights he seems to have a really good one-timer and a decent wrister and seems to be a real hard worker that doesn't mind getting into the dirty areas on the ice.

Not sure about his skating, probably nothing exceptional if he was overlooked by so many teams.

His skating is fine. Probably his biggest question mark, but it's not Logan Morrison or Jordan Dumais bad.

Davidson finished the night with 3 pts (1G, 2A). Now has 46 pts in 27 GP

Can he become a bottom 6 C in the NHL (or Laval next year ?) Don’t know much about this prospect except that he’s supposed to have a good motor and decent skating.

A good energy line/PK specialist would be the ceiling IMO, in the pre injury Evans vein. There's just enough there to make me curious to see what he can do in the AHL next season.

His skating is not "decent" it needs alot of work. Skating is the entire reason that he was previously passed over in the draft,it is not as bad as prospects like Biondi and Teasdale but it certainly is not a strength.

Will this guy ever play at NHL level, or is he a minor league pro player for ever ?

The Jets are sending Brad Lambert to Junior. He was the the Manitoba Moose in the AHL until he was loaned to the WJC. And now he's headed to Junior.

His Junior rights belonged to the Saskatoon Blades, but his rights were traded to Seattle in June.

Seattle also acquired Nolan Allan from Prince Albert (CHI pick who was with Canada at the WJC).

So the top team in the CHL is stacking up.

Like Xavier Simoneau, a late rounder drafted as an overager. so very low probability of making it. But I'll root for them.

Xhekaj wasn't even drafted and he's looking pretty good...

I don't mean to sidetrack the thread - watching the TBirds, did you notice or get any impressions of Gracyn Sawchyn or Nico Myatovic?

They just traded for Colton Dach too. No idea what his injury situation is from the WJCs.

Davidson's stats look pretty solid to me. Almost a point per game in his draft year that got cut short by Covid and saw him go un-drafted.

42 goals and a nice playoff run in 2021-22 which resulted in Montreal taking a chance in the 5th round.

Solid numbers again this season

Good size

Hoping this guy can prove everyone wrong. Curious where he plays next season.
