How people think we sat back is beyond me.

LA was the better team tonight. Territorially dominated from puck drop. We did not sit back, we were out matched at every turn.

The two goals were nice hard work team goals, but the Canucks can't compete wit that size and strength, especially withou Kesler and Booth.

Oh well...

I'm not going to lie, this is probably the most pissed off I've been about a regular season loss in a long time.

Edler needs to be taken out of shootouts, he's not effective anymore.

We need to start taking Russians over Swedes, all our Swedish players have had no drive lately.

Sorry to disappointing everyone but AV just signed a 3 year extention this off season. I guess being the #1 seed and getting beat by the #8 seed 4-1 in the first round gets you fat stacks. Aquilini would be pissed if he was fired anytime soon. We are stuck with him until at least next summer.

Schroeder needs to get a shot if it goes 5 shooters deep (or the Canucks actually get a day to practice and see how he does). He too only really has 1 go to shootout move (leg kick fake shot, five hole) but it's a good one!

That's not quite true. He has his shot (similar to Tambo) and he has a few dekes that he has done at the AHL level.

Good thing I went for a shave instead of watching the shootout. Either Luongo gives up the first two shots or no one scores. Wonderful

Dumping the puck in and changing every time we had the puck is the definition of sitting back.

Reminded me of that game on new years eve last year where the kings won 4-1 and just utterly dominated us physically and in every facet.

Considering the lock out and how few we've lost recently, that's not much of a statement.

Starting to feel some buyers' remorse on Garrison. Hopefully it's just a slow start.

I thought he looked better tonight, outside of Tanev I thought he did the best job of handling the Kings physical forecheck.

Aquilini doesn't give a **** as long as we win.

Or the occasional person from the WHL

never heard of it? Neither has management

Perhaps most troubling is in a shortened season where you only play within your conference that the Canucks have given the other team points in 5 of 6 games. It's a continuation of last season where the other team picked up points in 27 of the Canucks' final 40 games.

Ehhh... Edler is sucking just as much, if not more. I'm not going to judge newbies until our guys like Hamhuis and Edler are actually playing at their usual level.

Damn it, I knew the Canucks should have got Tony Montana out of Tampa to coach last year when they had the chance.

Instead we have to put up Willy Wonka.

We sat back because in the final couple minutes we were getting the puck to the center line and dumping it in. No attempt to make any offensive opportunity.

automatic dump in and change after a 20 sec shift
