Sabres fan, here in peace.

no Leino?

I think he's hurt or sick or something.

TBH I just used the Sabres lineup from yesterday

Leino did something to his quad the last day of team practice. He'll be out tonight. The lines in the OP are correct.

Can anyone confirm that ?(BUFF PP line)

Ott-Hodgson-Ennis
Vanek-Pominville

i believe i saw that, can anyone confirm??

It's possible that you saw that while Buffalo had that quick 5-on-3...Lindy loves going 5 forwards when we're up 2 men.

The PP lines used yesterday:

Unit 1 (aka the good unit):
Vanek-Hodgson-Ott
Ehrhoff-Pominville

Unit 2 (aka the "close your eyes" unit)
Foligno-Ennis-Stafford
Myers-Leopold

TSN makes me laugh.

Check out the picture they used for our home opener.

Pretty funny. Every teams gets a nice shot of their team cheering... we get a puck going passed our goalie.

Leaf fans go to Yonge/Dundas Square @ 1:30,tell @Sportsnet rep "Sportsnet is home to Leafs Nation" for chance 2 win tix 4 tonite's game

I sorta hate they are only giving away tickets in the GTA.

I would love tickets to tonights game, unfortunately I am in Barrie, ON.

However it is better then nothing.

Anyone hear what Edmonton is doing? They are giving away 100 signed jersey's (you can select ANY player from ANY era), 4 pairs of Gold season tickets, like 80 pairs of tickets, 45 pictures with players, bunch of discounts. They are giving back man.

Leafs did FAR more than any other team! Bu glad to see most giving something back, even though they dont have too.

Leafs are going with Kostka, Holzer AND Fraser tonight?

Why?

Seems like an odd choice...

They are still evaluating I'd say.

Without pre-season, it's hard to really see who can play and who's on the outside looking in.

I still don't agree that Franson should be sitting to evaluate someone like Fraser though.

I would say Edmonton did much more then TOR, but TOR did a lot. I just hate that I have no chance

Isn't like every ticket to tonights game completely free? Compare 4 season tickets and 80 pairs of tickets to 24000 or whatever max capacity is at the ACC. In terms of monetary value i can't believe its even close

Did Edmonton do a free game? I think the game costs more than a few jerseys and a couple of tickets.

Leafs gave over $2.5 million in seats away for the open, everyone going in gets a pop and scarf, plus all the signed jerseys in ice blocks, plus 6000+ pieces of leafs gear around the city and all the outdoor rinks they painted with Leafs logos.

Anyone know if the home opener will be shown on gamecenter live? If not, where can I watch this either during or afterwards?
Btw 15,000 season ticket holders got the game free, basically most season ticket holders are corporate. This move actually makes mlse more money in the long run.

24 000? Max capacity for a hockey game is just under 20 000.

Every game is on Gamecenter Live

Anyone feel a trade could be in the works soon? I'm not sure what you do with Franson when he's playing one game sitting the next, playing, sitting, playing sitting. It happened last year too..If he's not going to play move him.

I wonder if Gunnarsson could be on the move. He's a tradeable asset with relatively high value. It could be that he's being showcased at the start of the season here.

Haven't been to a leafs game in about a decade. Back to my childhood days. Back then it seemed like 100,000 haha. Pardon me for the inaccuracy

LOL... how does the season ticket holders being corporate have anything to do with anything?

#1 The corporate thing is largely inaccurate. The majority of season seat holders are individuals. Sure the boxes etc. and Platinum seats with suites are corporate but thats where it ends.

#2 Corporations especially are going to buy the seats regardless of the free game... it makes MLSE no money and doesn't influence these people to buy or renew their seats. Secondly, the waiting list for season seats is thousands deep. Giving away this free game influences NOBODY. I heard on the radio that the leafs had less than 10 season seat holders cancel due to the lockout.

MLSE had 3 million reasons not to give this game away for free.
