Randy said it's important to rotate players (4 games in 6 nights) plus he wants to give Fraser/Holzer a proper chance because Gardiner is 100% and could soon return so we don't know who sticks after that.

My guess is that Kostka sticks (Carlyle loves him) and Holzer and Fraser...are potential New York Islanders..

So Holzer needs to clear waivers too? Damn I don't want to lose any of them.

Phil Kessel - Boston wanted rid of him.

Joffery Lupul - Anaheim wanted him gone.

Clarke MacArthur - Buffalo would not pay him.

Mikhail Grabovski - Montreal had given up.

Dion Phaneuf - Rumors of Calgary having problems with him.



We are really just a rag tag team of players who people gave up on. Maybe we should stop drafting and just trade for peoples "Busts." Which makes me think we should of traded for Turris or try and get Colin Wilson.

Not sure if I would change the line-up, Both Cody and Komi played well on Saturday. I'm sure Holzer or Fraser could've sat for another game. It's not like they need the practice they've been playing all year. I'm not sure what Franson has to do to get playing time here.

If they've been playing all year then it may be good to get them in there. Buffalo just did a number on Philly and the Leafs need to be on their best game here!!

Carlyle did an excellent job last game instilling a sense of defense and I thought the Leafs really limited the Habs to outside low risk opportunities.

Hopefully more of the same today as Vanek and his teammates are coming off a big win against Philly.

Toronto always seems to struggle against the Sabres so tonight would be huge with a win.

This is exactly how I felt all day. Just about to head to the train and get some dinner/drinks at RS before the game. Then its HOME OPENER TIME!!!
