Hence better career.
02-03 Bertuzzi to me is simply better than Benn that season.
And Bert in 01-02 was even better in the second half of the year and led the league in points per game. Given the competition, Benn’s Art Ross wasn’t much different than a 3-5 place finish a lot of years.
Not really, the year before Benn's Art Ross, Sidney had 104 points and Getzlaf was second with 87 points. The year after Benn won Kane finished first with 106 points and Benn finished second with 89.
Scoring started going up two years after Benn won the Art Ross.
Benn's peak was from 13/14 to 17/18 in which he was 3rd in scoring. During that time he won a gold medal and an art ross. He and Ovi were arguably the best LW'ers in the game for a few seasons.
Bertuzzi's peak is pretty good too, he was a scary powerforward with finish. But Benn has the edge imo.
Career wise, there's no debate to be had.
Bingo. But yeah majority of fans forget how good he was.Benn was a really good player at his peak. Sorely underrated due to the state of the league’s low scoring environment at the time.
