Have you see how much of a clodhopper he is on the ice with those feet? Now imagine him trying to go up and down tiny stairs. I'd have to imagine someone is getting a lap full of popcorn...
Yeah, but just because he's inept on the ice with skates... just means he never learned to skate.
Carrying popcorn is a slow walking activity where he can use every inch of those size 15's to better his balance. Besides, there aren't any stairs between the popcorn machine and the GM's box.

But what if he's chewing gum in the process? Are you suggesting he can do multiple things at once?
I'm suggesting that he is a masterful popcorn gourmet, and is a perfectionist with his popcorn... including the delivery to the management up in the pressbox. Nothing more.
Thus if chewing gum would trip him up (very likely) he would avoid doing so as to not hurt his popcorn reputation.
He can just do what I always did when I had a class where the teacher didn't allow gum and I didn't want to spit it out: stick it in the side of your mouth and just leave it there a while.

So about 3 years ago, my GF at the time gave me for Christmas a gift she was confident I would just love. It was two framed & autographed pictures of Wild players. CRAIG WELLER and JAMES SHEPPARD. I couldn't bust her bubble when I opened the gift, so I just played along ... "wow honey, this is AWESOME, let me just put these over here on the shelf in the guest bedroom I never go in.
