He made it into his 90s, but this is still really sad. He was recognizable (at least by voice) to most of us from a very young age.

It's a bit surprising to realize that he didn't really become famous until he was in his late 40s.

Once upon a time going into late 90's these made for cable/tv films were a big tune in event and enjoyable

Sadly, this type of film now long extinct
