Bertuzzi out 4-6 weeks and Vrana out indefinitely. Looks like we're looking at a top-5 pick again.

I hope Vrana gets the help he needs for whatever he is dealing with.

That feels like an odd thing to say at the end of the message,
Does anyone expect eloborated comments on mental health/substance abuse/whatever?
Not weird. It's standard when a player enters the Player Assistance Program. Part of the deal is that the team and/or player does not need to make any public comments on what the nature of the problem is. The player gets to keep all the issues private.

Hope Vrana gets things sorted.

For the Wings, the losses of Vrana and Bertuzzi ... wow.
Lalonde has his work cut out for him.
I too hope that he gets back well and even stronger than ever ❤ he looked so good on the ice this season. Pray God.

Yeah, the forward roster doesn't look any better than it did at the end of last season.

At least he's got better defensemen, this might force him to go full Trotz though. Just try to grind out every game, low event hockey. Offense is once again limited to the top line.

What's a computer?
remember when washington suspended a few of it's players, kuznetsov i think was 1 of them. could be a similar situation considering they took him off the drw website's roster list.
called this to some degree, was fishy the way he was removed from team roster, which i dont think would happen if there was a death in the family

Thought something was weird in the NJ game. He picked the shit out of that corner and then only played 11 minutes. He appeared, facially, fine. But something else was there and i assumed Saturday that it was an injury or illness.

In any sense, i hope the guy is OK. This is going to be a rollarcoaster season. Hopefully he's fine.

But, to bring in some different light to the table - this is the ideal time for a kid to emerge. You have that chance for a top 6 spot. No Fabbri. No Bertuzzi. No Vrana. (that's almost a second line on a lot of teams). Zadina. Veleno. Soderblom. Maybe Berggren. You want a job? this is your time.

f*** man i had a feeling it was something mental. probably cause ive been dealing with it for 13 years and seen some of the signs. it worse then any physical injury especially the recovery if you even can. help is hard to ask for and hard to find and when you do find it, theres usually a wait. so im very glad hes getting everything he needs. i wouldnt be upset if he never played another game in his life as long as hes living, healthy, and happy. < mental health

Is it just me or does that seem negative in some way? You'd expect it to say something closer to "We wish him the best and for his privacy we will not comment further." It just seems really odd to me, maybe a bad pr person? The wording is just super strange for a corporate thing. I'm also very high right now so it could be that also :D

It came across as standard kind of corporate talk in these kind of situations to me. I think MTL said something similar for Price, and CBJ with Texier.

Best wishes to Vrana, I hope he gets the help he needs, regardless of the situation, and is able to return to full health. That's the only thing that is important right now. I'm sure a few of us, including myself, are no stranger to personal struggles.

Buddy, we're 2-0-1 and have looked solid. Let's pump the brakes a bit and let the season play out. Good thing Yzerman signed Perron, Copp, Kubalik, and good thing Elmer has emerged as a legit NHL player, and we still have Berggren ready to step in.

Chill man and enjoy the hockey.

Realistically, we've got the players for it.

Larkin on L1 should be a good grinder
Copp on L2 should be a good grinder
Rasmussen on L3, if he can be anything, it's a grinder, right?
Veleno on L4, if he can't be a 4C, good luck Joe!

Defense has Chiarot, Matta, Seider, Hagg...

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with it. The standard "we can't comment because it's a personnel issue" BS.

I really wish they did just say jakub will be out indefinitely instead of basically telling the world he has some kind of mental issue now.
