my first thought is he knows who deadhead is....i have zero backstory tho.
Yeah....at this point Jake knows that lots of Flyers fans on HF will love him calling out a guy on his twitter. It's all in good fun.
Who says I would take a whoopin? Just because someone is a professional hockey player does not mean they can throw down. Also if I'm being baited into a fight which is exactly what Vorachek is trying to do damn right bring your checkbook.
Can't get blood from a turnip
How many people had this exact same interaction with O.J.?
So if someone defends Braun or Hagg they may be Voracek? If he’s on here enough to respond it seems pretty likely he has an account and posts occasionally too.
*stares suspiciously at every Flyers fan account*

There is not a player in the NHL currently that I would be afraid of if I were to meet them due to a call-out. As long as they bring their checkbook we can do this.
Naw i store those in your moms bedroom next to her thigh master.Do you have Nautilis equipment in your mom's basement?

Now that i laughed at.*Zdeno Chara has entered the chat*
Lol
I will add the copypasta-spoiler as I'm sure many people will take this as it is.I saw Jake at a grocery store in Philly the other day. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen green bandannas in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bandannas and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bandanna and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yelling about deadhead really loudly.
Now that i laughed at.
Dude is lanky as hell though but ripped af. I have been in so many hockey fights in 30 years of playing HS, college and beer leagues i could say Chara would be the biggest guy i ever faced.I figure it would be somewhat similar to having a pissed off Brock Lesnar coming at you only taller instead of wider lol

My first thought is if I'm a teammate I'm making an account here and messing around with Voracek now.my first thought is he knows who deadhead is....i have zero backstory tho.
I would definitely get a post fight pic with him and have him sign it "Chara was here"Point of pride? Lol definitely worthy of the brag even if he tunes you badly

Where's @deadhead ? Want to know how he feels getting called out lol
Yeah, I'd be happy for the free drinks, I'm ordering top shelf.
I've never slammed Jake the way many here have slammed guys with average or below average talent who work hard.
Hagg may not be a good player, but I suspect his teammates like him because he's willing to do the dirty work, like block shots, to win games. He just has never progressed in terms of the mental part of the game (playing within himself as a defensive defenseman). Physically he's probably more talented than 33 year old Braun, but he just doesn't get "it." So I might criticize his play, but not the person, or his effort on ice.
There's a difference between a character flaw (lazy, lacks motor, avoids dirty areas) and not mentally processing the game. The later is a skill, just like skating, that limits a player, but doesn't mean he's stupid or a "bum." Some players just have an innate talent to see things unfold on the ice.
My standards for Jake are higher, because I've never seen a player rebate his salary when he plays below expectations. So the higher paid players should be held to higher standards. If Jake was a veteran 3rd line forward on a 3yr/$15M contract (Bozak in his later years), the expectations would be lower. I've criticized JVR in the past, like in the bubble, when he was clearly out of shape. Now what we don't know is whether he had access to training facilities given the COVID mess. But he's clearly in better shape and skating harder this season. When you make $7M, there are no excuses, you should be playing at a top 6 level, and doing everything you can to maintain that level of play (it's your job and you're well paid to do so).
I don't feel threatened (I know some good Tort Lawyers, for one thing).
I am amused.
I've never attacked Jake personally, just his play on ice, for which he gets a ridiculous salary. And that salary is paid for by fans, tickets and watching games - he should worry more about indifference, because lower ratings = lower TV money and lower salaries.
The best way for him to respond is to play better.
