connect the dots. He’s going back to @StevenToddIves ?!?
the plan is that steven learns to scout goalies.
now i know why you couldn't make it as a prospect. hockey iq.

@evnted is terrific at scouting goalies. @Guadana has written some great stuff about Russian league goalies.connect the dots.

Just wait until Rogalski gets ahold of him!!! Right @Bleedred?Dont look now but Malek is off to a hot start in Liiga.

(last two seasons there for reference)
IMO this kid roars past Brennan as soon as he get to NA.Bumping the updated numbers again for maybe our most slept on prospect. Guy barely gets attention and has been lights out so far in Liiga.

Don't forget the Russian we drafted this summer. He's playing in the USHL one more season than off to BU.Our best goalie prospect after Daws, and he might close the gap even further once he gets here.
2.14 GAA and .912 SV%. Not too shabby.thoughts on him this season? seems to have very nice numbers this season
Didn’t he sign his ELC?Best stats as a pro so far this season, and far better than his backup (who has played 11 games to Malek's 18). Get this boy to NA.
Hopefully he’s with the organization next season.yeah he did
That should be an imperative. It's either s**t or get off the pot for Daws. A guy like Malek can go right by him.Hopefully he’s with the organization next season.
Between the lag on goalies and centers the organization has some real blind spots for how to draft. That should be an imperative. It's either s**t or get off the pot for Daws. A guy like Malek can go right by him.
The key will be Allen. If the Devils hold to his 1-yr contract, either Daws wins the #2 spot or gets moved and a new acquisition comes in to back up Markstrom. They can't go with a guy they can't trust to to do the job.
That would leave Poulter and Malek in Utica to battle it out to see who gets the 1st call. That of course depends upon whether or not the Devils give Poulter another contract as he will be an RFA at the end of the season while Daws, Brennan, and Malek are signed through 2025-26. That could mean Malek and Daws would be in Utica. It would be a kick in the ass to free agent Poulter who has performed well for the Comets. Last season better than both Daws and Schmid.
Then 22-yr-old Brennan would be in his 3rd pro season with nothing but ECHL play behind him unless Utica needs to elevate a keeper from Adirondack. 28-yr-old Jeremy Brodeur is also in Adirondack and has been their top keeper through the past 2 seasons (counting this one). He is currently on a 1-way AHL contract with the Comets.
Right now Brennan is in Utica. If Daws is not ready by Saturday's game, I would think Brodeur would already have been reassigned to the Comets.
That fact that we have no better options to replace Lazar other than Dowling is telling for sure. We've taken a bunch of goalies since Schneider and nothing either. It's certainly strange.Between the lag on goalies and centers the organization has some real blind spots for how to draft.
