Especially at their level. You can’t do that with a Carey Price. But Montembeault shouldn’t be the anointed starter. He makes as much as a really good backup.

It is only small sample but I’ll switch my initial judgement right now they definitely made the right pick. He is just bigger and faster than Monty, we are going to give it some more time we don’t need a controversy but he seem to have everything to be a #1

Love the mental game on this kid. He was put in shitty spots to start the game resulting in 2 goals on 3 shots, but instead of letting it get to him he got better as the game went on and helped save the game in OT.

Pretty incredible considering the amount of pressure there was given it was his first game at the Bell Centre and it was a huge game given they lost on Saturday.

Evidently his dad was in attendance and he hadn't seen him in 18 months. The saves in OT were on another level, that's what folks need to remember, that when the game was on the line...he was there!
