Brilliant, why didn’t anyone think of just signing RD for 4 mill??Our depth is so thin
Should have went with a RD instead of Perron for 4 MM$

Sanderson-Zub was the best pairing before Zubs first injury.Even before that, just ok.
So the first 2 games of the season, plus 2 minutes of the third game.Sanderson-Zub was the best pairing before Zubs first injury.
Yeah small sample size, but they were clearly doing well.So the first 2 games of the season, plus 2 minutes of the third game.
Yeah, it's worth pointing outYeah small sample size, but they were clearly doing well.
I'm glad he switched to CYeah, it's worth pointing out Stu was very briefly being talked about for the Norris thanks to his hot start on the PP.
I read somewhere that SS tried to acquire every RD UFA but none wanted to come here so he traded for Jensen. As for Perron, there was no way to predict the family issues, then getting injured or that Gaudette would be so good. Hindsight is 20/20 after all. It's Hamonic's last year so I expect some moves to be made in the off-season to acquire some depth on D. I guess there's a possibility Yak makes the team although I expect him to play at least 1 year in Belleville.Brilliant, why didn’t anyone think of just signing RD for 4 mill??
I mean, that's Zub, no?Team needs to invest heavily in another guy like Jensen, not a star, just a safe reliable guy who can play 20 minutes a night
I had reread my post and added what I meant to convey.I mean, that's Zub, no?
I guess his injuries have made him unreliable in terms of whether he's in the lineup or not, I also think he can be a bit slow rounding back into form when coming back from injury, but Sanderson was great with him all of last year.

Need a dependable guy who we can safely depend on for 75+ games a year.
Zub, as good as he has shown he can be, is an almost sure bet to miss ~15 games a year. He's already missed 61 games out of 194 from the past 2.35 seasons.
Even if he doesn't miss another game this year, he's averaged 20 games a season out since 2022, Chabot is already injury prone/suseptible. Not sure we can rely on a guy like Zub when he's beat up so often.
I maintain that Sanderson has the tools to put up 60+ points as a d-man. He just needs a partner who will let him play his game.
