I’m not too worried about Sandy, he’s a smart enough player to figure it out soon. Don’t forget he is still very young and he is playing against the top players in the league every game.

Jake Sanderson 1.9 shots on goal a game. And 4.5 shot attempts a game.
Thomas Chabot 2.5 and 5.6.
Just for comparison.....The leader in the NHL shot attempts category is Quinn Hughes with a whopping 9.2 attempts a game! That seems outrageous!
He gets 3.8 of those shots on goal each game.

Ya, I'm starting to feel like this guy might be part of the problem. I don't mean that in that he's not better than most, he clearly is, but if this team is expecting him to carry the load offensively, I'm not sure he's that guy. Makes you wonder if bringing in an offensive specialist for the bottom pairing beside Kleven and PP spot duty would make sense.

You get the feeling that as Jake Sanderson goes, so will the team. And he ain't goin'
Agreed. When he's on his game it looks effortless.

Chabot and Jensen pairing have been flying, I don't think that's and issue, the problem is he's gone from 2.68 GF/60 when on the ice last year to 1.08 so far this year, that won't last. If he's even at 2.3 GF/60 well below last two years, we're doing much better.

Do you think that's maybe why they had Addwhatever on a PTO?

That sounds promising. He's clearly trying, and I like his confidence with the puck, but the last 5 games or so he looks like things aren't working for him and has made some uncharacteristic mistakes.

Seemed like it to me. I like the idea of a different look from your 6/7 that you rotate, but JBD and Hamonic are both pure defense type guys, or, well, they try to play defense lol.

It's not comparable, Quinn is incredible in the OZone. I watch the Canucks by curiosity to see what EB is doing and.. what a skater QH is! More than that his shot is letal. I would have never thought.
If Jake could do for the Sens half what is QH is doing offensively speaking it would help the team a lot. We are far from that.
Actually nobody among the D men is helping the offense for now and it's worrisome. I hope in the future Yakemchuk could be this guy.
