His father didn't really established himself as a NHL player before the age of 25. So who knows, might be a late bloomer like his dad.
1st place in the loser line, so still 1st in somethingCoulda woulda shoulda you 2nd place loser!
Perrault is a Quebec kid only in name. He and his siblings are Americans first.Maybe this is flawed thinking, but if a Quebec kid is buried in the AHL, he would probably rather be buried in Laval, than in most other AHL cities, no?
I think you uncovered another golden vein of comedy with that sentence. Not sure why Ducks made that move. What was hidden within Mysak?
I believe the tweet was by Basu, but basically sums this up. Neither is a real good prospect, so the Habs acquired the potential homerun while Anaheim gets a guy who's likely to play some games, but probably not many.Worried about the trade, Mysak has a good work ethic whereas Perreault supposedly needs work on that. Perreault also has awareness and decision making problems.
We'll see if being back home will motivate him.
Never a + player even in jr yeesh
Jacob Perreault Hockey Stats and Profile at hockeydb.com
Statistics of Jacob Perreault, a hockey player from Montreal, PQ born Apr 15 2002 who was active from 2018 to 2024.www.hockeydb.com
Late first round picks rarely pan outOn paper Jacob looked like a great rising 1st rounder during his draft, right hand shot and a good goal scorer in the OHL.
I mentioned it a lot last year that his struggles definitely impacted Gabe in the draft, the brothers had a similar profile but the older one was looking like a bust which made it hard to have faith in Gabe
LOL yourself ! How come Les Canadiens de Montreal are not allowed to acquire Quebec born players ?Your mandatory PR move. lol Happy for Mysak to get out of there at least.Whats next, claiming Lemieux off of waivers? lol
Like Mesar will ????Late first round picks rarely pan out
Something might happened on the ducks side. They decided they didn't beleive in him enough and they try Mesar for a change. They might have someone else with Perreault's upside in their system. But it looks like a bad decision typical as our beloved (lol) Bergevin. Habs systems needs more the upside of Perreault than the upside of Mesar. Time will tell who won that trade. But maybe none of these players will make the nhl anyway, or a minor role in the team at most.My feeling is that the Ducks believed that Mysak was buried on the fourth line in Laval and thought he had more to offer, and for some reason they completly gave up on Perreault. Because a 21 years 1st rounder for an AHL fourth liner makes no sense.
If he learn from his father, he certainly have a good coach in face off, easy to say !Yeah I legitimately didn't know this prospect. I met his dad years ago, arguably the best face off man of his era.
At our developping point, we need higher potential prospects. The bottom lines are less important at year 3 rebuilt.Which is fine as they need someone with a higher ceiling. And as far as Laval is concerned, they gave up their 4C in the deal to get a winger who can potentially be in your Top-9 and maybe Top-6.
First time on the Habs board, huh?Lots of drama for a minor league move.
No of course. But it is worse when a Quebec born player is acquired for a non Quebec born player. And vice-versa.First time on the Habs board, huh?
I know you've been here for years, I was jokingNo of course. But it is worse when a Quebec born player is acquired for a non Quebec born player. And vice-versa.
Your correct the Habs have not done well however Pastrnak was pretty good for the B’s.Late first round picks rarely pan out
Tbh, on this board most posters would say we are not allowed to hire anyone from Quebec at any position.LOL yourself ! How come Les Canadiens de Montreal are not allowed to acquire Quebec born players ?
Like Mesar will ????
