Why is there an exclamation point at the end of the title?

To distinguish it from the question mark it was before?

The thread title is very misleading, Chess.

Personally, I'd rather we keep YaYo up until we can find someone better....

How is the title misleading? Did Josefson not get sent down to Albany? Unless you're referring to the Poll part of it still being in it.

Are any of the guys he played with even near a -8? Josefson earned that -8, he was directly responsible for at least a couple of goals against with bad defensive zone turnovers.

Barch, Butler and Carter are a -2, that's the second worst total on the team. When 'one' guy has such a disproportionate total compared to the rest of his team, that's a problem.

Not making excuses for him, just wondering in what situations they happened in.

Nobody was noticeable against the Islanders, Yayo surely wasn't brilliant, but on a 4th line playing mostly PK minutes there's not that much you can do, and he still gets the job done.

Jacob will stay for now until Zubrus is back, the decision will then have to be made, and I'm confident Barch and not Yayo will be the odd man out.

Actually, no he won't. See above.

I don't mind this move. I'm still a Josefson supporter, but for now I'd like to see what Lokti can do.

I like Josefson, have defended him a lot, but he deserved to go down. He has not been playing well lately, and could use the wakeup call in Albany. Hopefully Loktionov can play well with his chance.

I must've missed the news that YaYo was sent down to Albany...NOW.

That's what the title sounds like, Chess.

Unless JJ was sent down just recently and I missed that news..... :dunno:

Who were Yayo's linemates with his -8? I know he was on with Kovy and Butler last night for one.

Did any of these goals against come when he was on the top line or was it mostly with Barch/Janssen/Butler?

Almost everyone. Carter, Clarkson twice, Tedenby, Elias twice, Kovy twice, Zubrus, Barch, Gionta, Butler, Poni, Bernier, Janssen.

Thing with Josefson is that the team is counting on him to take the next step this season and he really hasn't done anything at all. He can play pretty good defense but through 15 games thus far, he has been a disappointment overall. I won't judge him on the - 8 because I don't remember the circumstances in regards to that number, but it sure doesn't look good.

CBGB needs to be broken up. I like what that line brings (extremely hard-working line), and they have an obvious chemistry, but there are two major issues with them. One, they tend to get hemmed in their own zone far too often. Doesn't happen all the time, but way too much offensive pressure has been established against them by a few different teams. Second, I think Bernier can do more with some better players on his line. I have no issue with Gio and Carter, I actually appreciate their games a ton, but I think the team can get more from Bernier. He's very strong on the puck and has some pretty decent hands. CBGB is a great 4th line, but just a little weak as a 3rd imho. Break em up and see what other bottom 6 arrangements may work. With Zubrus being out for several weeks, NJ is going to need a lot more from the bottom lines.

The thread was a poll on whether he should be sent down, until about an hour ago when he actually was.

Jeeze this board is really on the ball this season! I'm proud of us.

We all like to disagree on Josefson's potential and ceiling, but I can't complain about this move. Loktionov gets a chance and Josefson gets a break.

i agree with you about bernier but i would not touch this line. they work well together in most games and have chemistry

I don't think he has anything to learn from the AHL, but obviously Lou knows better than me.

He may not have anything to learn, but there is no denying he's been playing poorly. Even if it just helps him get some confidence back, or sets him straight, it should be beneficial.

Larsson was benched too, that worked out fine.

The league's littered with first-round dissapointments. Maybe half of first-rounders at best in a given year turn out to be NHL players for longer than the 'average career' length of one.

Anyone really think JJ will "regain confidence" in the AHL? I mean that strategy didn't work for Tedenby...

I just hope Loki plays as well as others suggest.

He might, he might not. Only one way to find out. Hopefully this will give him a kick in the ass and he'll improve his game enough to come back soon.

Thanks for posting that, so it's been with everyone not just the normal suck on the 4th line, oof. Not good for Yayo.
